Download Episode III!

Well, not really - obviously

After reading through these threads:
Episode III Opening Crawl
The first shot and beginning of EpIII... What I hope it will be...

I decided to make the first few minutes of EpIII using After Effects and Premiere. The crawl is all made up (I don't think there are spoilers regarding this yet...) and the final few seconds are taken from the LucasArts game The Clone Wars (so no credit for that) and a few audio clips from AotC.

Okay, I've watched it. Honestly, the shot of all of the Starfighters heading towards Geonosis gave me goosebumps. I loved how you first only showed a few starfighters fly intot the picture, before the entire force began to appear. Very exciting stuff!

I think we may well see a fleet, but not over Geonosis - and probably nothing to do with Dooku at this stage...

Meh. Sounds cool, but I don't have quicktime and have no intention of downloading it.

 

AMAZING!!! Two things I would suggest to make the opening crawl more "technically" accurate... Make the font bold, since the actual movie scrolls have rather heavy letters. Second, shrink the space between the title and the scroll down. Other than that, wow... just wow...

I liked it. Adding the Clone Wars game footage was a wonderful touch. I'd like to see more. When the AOTC dvd comes out, there's some scenes from there you could add maybe.

The Republic is winning the war, but that statements seems so sinister. That line gave me chills.

 

I think it was supposed to do that. Because for the first-time viewer (seeing them 1-6) it will be a good thing, but we all know how bad it really is!

Vaderbait, Quicktime would be a useful player to have since nearly all film trailers (including the SW ones) are in .mov format now. Maybe I could get a DivX version up for you?

AniaNaberrie, which gap are you refering to? The gap between the title and the text, or the text and the planet?

The one between The Sith Conspiracy and the scroll... Also the ones between the paragraphs... Yes I know it's nitpicky, but I want you to know i think this thing is awesome!

 

I think in order to make it sync with the music he had to space it more.

I don't know who made up the title, but finally someone came up with a title that uses the word "sith" and not the phrase "of the" in it. Sweet title, it sounds like something george would make up.

 

Right then AniaNaberrie, I've made a v0.2 that has fonts more like the films. The spacing and speed may be a little off, but as Sithman says, it's so that it stays in sync with the music.

Kaa, good work. Really awesome. I like the crawl and using the Lucasarts footage is a master stroke as well.
