Will this kill Stargates newfound claim of being the longest running SF show in the States?

On a technicality, Every episode of Stargate has been broadcast Stateside. I doubt the same can be said of Doctor Who.

I hope it doesn't. I suppose that technicality is right though I'd be dissapointed if season 27 of Dr. Who takes the claim. :p

You're not familiar with Dr. Who?

Well nor am I to an extent other than its a hit show in Britain that has run for 27 seasons off and on and has had 12 different doctors.

Ha! I forgot you in USA hadn't seen it yet :p

It's fantastic, though. You get your money's worth in Daleks alone

However with the Doctor being the last time lord there are fan hopes and theories that if the show is still popular and it comes to regenerating for the last time they may make the Doctor regenerate into a woman. The theory is that with this change they can start the 13 rule again and bring in the possibility of offspring.

It's an out of there theory but I kind of like it.

Stargate will still be the longest running US sci-fi show- rerunning a british show over here doesn't make it a US show.

The Doctor Who movie was on UKGold a few weeks ago. I was flicking between it and something else (Crystal Maze repeats I think :p ), and I didn't think it was as bad as people thought. Can't really say for sure, as I didn't see much, but wasn't the Master's plan something to do with stealing the Doctor's body, therefore using his regenerations. Or am I totally off? I REALLY didn't watch much.

Would it not be possible to somehow transfer the Doctor's spirit into another Time Lord? He thinks he's the last one left, but he also thought the Daleks were extinct.

Perhaps the perfect time to bring Romana back into the show. She was a Time Lord (Time Lady?) wasn't she? Perhaps she would sacrifice her body so the Doctor could...do something to save the universe [face_thinking]

Not a massive fan of the earlier seasons, mixed with lack of experience of the old series, so I'm sure many (if not all) of my facts are a bit (or a lot) off.

Cool! I'll have to check it out. I haven't actually been into Dr. Who since the 80's when our local PBS station was playing the Tom Baker, Peter Davidson episodes. Loved those.
