Details here. From the article: The next game will be called Dragon Age III: Inquisition. We won't be talking about the story of the game today. Though you can make some guesses from the title. This game is being made by a lot of the same team that has been working on Dragon Age since Dragon Age: Origins. It's composed of both experienced BioWare veterans and talented new developers. We are working on a new engine which we believe will allow us to deliver a more expansive world, better visuals, more reactivity to player choices, and more customization. At PAX East, we talked about armor and followers… Yeah, that kind of customization. We've started with Frostbite 2 from DICE as a foundation to accomplish this.
So, I guess the rumors were true, after all. Not particularly thrilled about the way they're going with this, but I do like the sound of some of the mechanics.
Yeah, what struck me about this press release was that it seemed to confirm some of the rumors I've read. That makes me think that it will be placed in Orlais and you'll play as a Seeker. Maybe Leiliana will be a party member again!
I'll be keeping an eye on this game but I've been burned by Bioware too much in the past few years to be that excited about this game at this point. Have to wait and see if it's more Origins or DA:2.
I love Bioware, but I'm kind of leery after the fiasco that was Mass Effect 3 and the underwhelming experience that was SWTOR's Sith Inquisitor storyline, so I'll probably get it on sale a few months after release. When they've fixed the inevitable problems with the initial release. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Yes! Although, with DA1 you should look out for the combo pack which has DA1, DArigins, and the DLC, and stuff. I don't think there's such a pack for DA2 though, but it'd be worth looking for. As for me and DA3? I'll be preordering it. I'm still gutted that I missed out on the DA2 Signature Edition for the 360, but there we go. At least my PC can actually run DA2 now, so I'm not too fussed, but when I only had my old one it was kind of annoying. Oh, and as for playing other races, I'm not sure I can decide. Playing other races is great but if it's a choice between that and a voiced character? I know GW2 has both but it doesn't have the extensive dialogue found in DA.
Concept art released. Details emerge for Dragon Age III. Only race will be human. Possibility of co-op MP.
