For those who care, the schedule is up on the dragoncon site. And for you oldsters, Gene Loves Jezebel is playing. We'll give those gothly youngsters a run for their money. (Just pretend it's Bauhaus, ok?)

 

I thought Gene and Jezebel moved to a retirement community in Florida.

 

Our flight gets in at 10:45 pm on Thursday, so we should be hopefully all checked in (at the Marriott) by at least midnight or so. What time does the Hyatt bar close/ how late will you guys be staying?

Gen Loves Jezebel are playing, who cares!! Their bubble gum goth anyway!!

 

Ah, bubble gum goth. So unlike the kids there today. Half of them can't even idenitfy the song This Corrosion ... (I'm getting my righteous old school Goth indignation all ready to deploy in Atlanta, can you tell?)

 

I'll take Bubblegum Goth over songs with such lyrics as "Is Bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S" I always substitute Potatos, "Is Potatos, P-O-T-A-T-O-S" Or Tomatos work too. I can even work in Sardine, LOL. (Though I do like the beat on that banana song).

Ok, when are J Loves J playing? *Scours Schedule*

I thinks we need a serious Goth/Punk thread here since it looks like a few of us were goths it seems.

But like the ole' saying goes, you can take the girl out of goth but you can't take the goth out of the girl.

 

Or trailer park in some cases.

All righty then, a Saturday night at the Black Cat is hereby called for. After D*C. And Renn Faire. When it's cold and scary outside and we need depressing music to soothe our souls.

Gene Loves Jezebel is opposite the Cruxshadows, if that helps to find them on the schedule. I want to say Sunday night. Old folks go to old folks show, whippersnappers to the whippersnapper show.

See you guys tomorrow! (and if you're not going, well, we'll think of you and pretend you're there. Hardly anyone will notice us talking to our invisible friends after a while.)

 

And I'll pretend like I'm there. The people at Discovery should be used to me talking to all my imaginary freinds by now (this is what happens when you leave people all alone in a pod for 8 hours).

 

The Black Cat? Would this be a goth night club by any chance!?! OHHHHHHH!!!!! I'm in for this!!

We used to have a great goth club in Philly called The Asylum but it got shut down back in '96-'97. It was great because they would get in very cool goth bands like Human Drama, still one of the best shows I ever saw.



Oh might as well get back on topic here, have a drink, or 10, for me and would it kill someone to bring me back a M2 Parks Saber with a Red blade!?!

I'm ready.

Now I just wait for the limo to pick me up.
