ST Dream dramaturgy /The Dallas connection

Remember when Bobby Ewing came back to life thanks to clever writing by the Dallas scriptworkers? Bobby was hit by a car and died, but then a year later Pam woke up and all of the events during the last season turned out to be a nightmare on her part.

According to my sources JJ Abrams is a fan of Dallas and has been known to speak well of the Dallas dream dramaturgy. So where could this lead to? Any thoughts?

I could see it happen when Luke passes out after the Wampa attack. If I am correct, and if Luke starts to dream instead of going to Dagobah, more than half of the events in TESB (and ROTJ in whole) could be overrided by the script of EPVII. Exciting!

 

I think I would rather go the Star Trek alternate universe route tbh.

Where's that "What could make you walk out of Ep VII" thread when you really need it?

Because...THIS. Completely This. Alternate reality or making what we know to have happened in the OT NOT actually have happened would make we walk out of SW VII.
SW is linear; there has been no alternate reality or time travel in the GFFA. Let's not start now.
(And when I was a young teen, I was a Dallas fan. Until Bobby turned up in a shower and they told me I'd wasted a season)

It was all really an insidious plot by Darth Wampa and Darth Jar Jar to get Luke delusional due to hypothermia just so Wampa could steal the Princess for himself.
