After a year-and-a-half hiatus, Traci and I are bringing back the big screen!

Saturday, April 24th, 7:30 pm

Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back

Friday, May 21st, 7:30 pm

As always, remember to bring your lawn chairs, bug repellent, coolers, and blankets. We'll be announcing more movies later on, with at least a showing of Return of the Jedi in June before it gets too "oh-my-damn" hot.

 

Way down for the one in May...

Not completely sure about April... Don't know if some can get off work by then... Also, for me... My kids got a band concert that afternoon... So, I'll have to see how that goes...

But, looking forward to seeing you for at least one and future ones...

Maybe it's time I set up a webcam chat sort of thingee so our out-of-area friends can join in at Drive-In Nights.

 

If the cops come by telling us to turn down the sound to the point of hardly being worth it again, then I say we go with the silent porn!

 

Sounds like a winner of an idea to me, Mike! I'm sure we can find something that would qualify as an "art film".

I may bring a cake to celebrate the return of Drive-In Night and me finishing the cards! Wrapping them up this weekend and sending off on Monday!

So far the weather is still up in the air (literally... ). But, we're still going to get together rain or shine, movie or no movie.

If the latest forecast on the Weather Channel's website is correct, we may be able to do a movie Saturday night. Of course, the forecast has changed no less than 20 times this week, so who knows what it will do.

They are hyping this thing like it's a hurricane. I just got a "SEVERE WEATHER ALERT" on my email at work. "Life threatening tornadoes"?

WTF...?

 

They have yet to be correct so far about any of the rain. Where are the severe storms that were supposed to hit us last night? You'd think we're all doomed to a windy, watery death from the way they're talking.

 

Knock on some wood or something, quickly. It's getting black here on Poplar...

Despite the awful weather from yesterday morning, we could not have asked for a better evening for last night's movie! I want to thank all of you for coming and making it one of the best Drive-In Nights we've had in a long time.

And no cops! Yippeeeeee!
