Droid starfighter WIP

Heres another model iv been working on. iv already made it and it turned out horible. prob because i only spent a day on it.

my newer one is much better and i would love to hear any you have to say.

also it was really hard to get references for this ship so if anyone sees something im doing rong and can show me the right way, that would be great

Yea.. much better. The first one looks like a game model.

I would search SCIFI-MESHES forum and look at the Droid Fighters on SCIFI 3D to find info to contact those authors and ask about sending you their refs.

 

a noob question, how do you make those indented lines in models?

the way i did it is i made a simple model of the wing.. then i made smaller chuncks and fit them in.. and there was a small creck between two chunks that make that look.

HORRAY!!! all the modeling is now complete.. ill try and get a colour picture for tomorrow

Looks really great! I look forward to seeing a textured version. Will you be doing a ROTS texture or TPM? (I personally would like a ROTS one).

 

Looks pretty sharp. How about a wireframe view?
