This is probably fairly obscure, but does anyone know the name of the "artist" who performs the theme song? (And yes, I did use the word "artist" in quotes.)

    Thanks

No, but I know that the "artist" who did the "Ewoks" animated series theme song was Taj Majal.

hmmm, not sure about the performer, but I believe it was written by Stuart Copeland, formerly of the Police (the pop band, not the anti-crime organisation). The style of singing's fairly similar to Sting's (which tends to happen when people are in the same band) so I suppose it's a safe bet it's Copeland.

Oi, Sting - who's laughing now eh? :p

Jon Bon Jovi has him beat, though.

Bon Jovi is the one who, get this: made his musical debut singing the song "R2-D2: We Wish You A Merry Christmas" for the "Christmas in the Stars" album in the 80's.

    I digress.

This is one thing that sucks about the Droids DVD that's out now. They don't have the opening song in it.

Eh, give em' some time. McCallum has said that, come 2007, you can expect to see many of the properties of Star Wars released. You know that when the saga box set of the films comes out, they'll just have to release all the other stuff, for the $$$$, and to satisfy nastalgics like myself.

I love the theme song to Droids, lol, I have every episode on DVD, the real ones, not that DVD that was released recently, that thing sucks so bad. It's just two episodes from the series edited together into one and it's all chopped up and edited and alot of the music has changed, same with the ewok one, don't buy them!!

Yeah, what Lucasfilm did with that release was just plain stupid. I don't really see why they wanted to release only a few, edited episodes, rather than the entire series of each.
