What the heck is spice how is it used, what does it do?

Same for Deathsticks, I've heard people reference to smoking, but it looks more like a honey stick to me?

The big question is, does it seem to anyone other than me that drugs are not condemned by GL? Isn't that saying something? I mean telling a dealer to rethink his life, is one thing, but one of the main characters from the OT was a drug shipper. I don't know, my thoughts are a little disorginized but I have always wondered about spice and what it's all about.

Try reading the EU to see what spice does.

I remember in the novel Jedi Search, Moruth Doole, proprieter of a Kessel spice mine, says it is taken in vials, and it allows temporary telepathy between beings.

IlivinHoth, maybe this will answer your question:

Fett found himself on his feet and yelling. "Spice is illegal! It's a euphoric, alters moods, and the use of it leads to worse substances, and a man who will run spice," he snarled, "Will run anything!" He stood tense and motionless, holding his rifle in a quivering grip, staring down a Leia. "And if I had been using spice tonight, Leia Organa, perhaps you would not be safe with me in this room.

On another note, Han Solo runs all sorts of this stuff. This is one of the reasons Boba Fett is always after him. Han's probably wanted anyway.
