Guys, DTJ is straight up...he saw the film....move along.

We don't, but we do expect it to sink the Titanic.

(I mean the movie-- no intentional offense to the actual tragedy)

 

Qui-Gon is NOT heard or seen in the film, but it doesn't effect the film at all. The exposition Yoda gives about being able to talk to him works perfectly fine.

The Anakin/Obi-Wan duel is terrific and it cuts well with the Yoda/Sidious duel.

In broad strokes, the things that stand out to me was how well the film seemed put together.. In other words, there were no (or very few) awkward scenes or moments that felt unnecessary. The movie just moved right off the bat. Even the slower scenes featuring Anakin and Padme has a real sense of drama and tension. There was urgency to everything -- we've got to get here and do this or else... that sort of stuff.

 

So how exactly does the damage to Palpatine's face play out? I know his lightning is getting reflected back at him, and the book makes it sound like he's almost being melted... what does that look like on screen?

Also: what kind of crazy move does Kenobi pull off to take three of Anakin's limb in a single swing!?

One more: Is the duel pretty back-and-forth, or does one man kinda dominate through most of it?

i was wonding how the effects in the final sunset scene look. from the picture ive seen it looks a bit too fake

 

How was the obi-wan/grevious fight? and I'm very interestd in the mace/sidious duel as well.

Enough with the broad strokes.

Now let's get some sweat, blood, tears, dirty details.

If the film is well put together and there's a feel of urgency/drama to every scene, then it's the best news I have heard in a long time.

 

Does the lighting actually arc back and fry sids as Mace blocks it?

 

The other general comment (and sorry I'm not answering individual questions yet) is that the Anakin/Obi-Wan friendship really comes across well. Right from the opening you can sense these are guys that are friends, buddies, and who care for each other. As Anakin starts to get flaky and then go bad, you can sense that Obi-Wan is truly sad about the situation. He's really losing a brother and a family member. By the end, you have a stong sense of loss.

 

Is there eating? If so, what is eaten?

Wonderful DarthToeJam as wonderful as was your information that you gave us on the Original Trilogy DVDs was great, for others who don't believe your credibility, I salute you!!

 

DarthToeJam you don't need to prove anything to me; anybody with 3 thousand plus posts on a forum isn't likely to sour a good name just to cause a scene.

I'd like to add, thanks for taking the time to fill us in; it's appreciated.

My questions: is there any clarification on what the Yellow eyes possessed by Sidious, Maul and now Anakin are a reference to? is it anger, hatred or simply corruption? or all? Or is it simply left to the veiwer to decide for himself.
