This is something I've brought up before, but nobody really uderstood what I meant.
Well, now I have screenshots. This is, of course, the
Duel of the Fates from Episode 1. In these pictures
you can see that Obi-Wan completely misses Darth
Maul's saber. I used my video cam on my TV, but I had it
recording to my SD memory card instead of tape.
This gave it only 15 frames a second, so it looks blurry.
Anyway, what do you think about this?

I cannot tell what's happening. Besides, it's a movie. Suspend your disbelief. Nobody would ever catch that by watching it normally.

    What do I think?

I think you need to get out more.

You know, I'd agree. This guy definitely needs to get out more so he can post new and exciting topics for discussing movies on the Internet. Jeez, man. If it's important to him, than he's free to post it.

While I agree that starwarsman's question is rather obscure, I see no reason to bash the query. After all, this is TF.N if not here, where?

I used to attempt to get some of my smaller Star Wars questions answered at the local McDonald's drive-thru, but they just weren't as receptive as I would have liked.

In answer to the question: I don't see the miss but I'll pay more attention next time I watch TPM.

Saw it, and it kinda brought a smile to my face cause it goes back to when Obi-wan admitted in ESB that he was reckless. If you notice there are several times in the fight where he actually attacks Maul's weapon rather than Maul himself. It highlights the fact that he's still a very inexperienced swordsman, although I'm sure this was more just a goof than something intended, but I think they kept it in the film just for that reason. Pretty much all the fights in the PT have moments like this if you watch closely.
