I say Biggs'last name,Darklighter.I can't even bring myself to say it out loud.Darklighter? It sounds like what you'd call a black Zippo.

I always thought it was strange that there were names that were NOT from a galaxy far, far away. Like Ben, and Owen.

However, I always thought that the name Mon Mothma was kind of dumb. Kind of like a Godzilla monster.

Also a name that was considered but never used in the OT, was the planet name "Hadabadan" (spelling?), correct me if this is incorrect, but it reminds me of having a dodgy curry and then paying for it the following day!

Is it? I tend to think the actual etymology of the name has a much greater influence. And according to www.behindthename.com, that etymology is "From the Hebrew name Le'ah which was probably derived from the Hebrew word la'ah meaning "weary". Alternatively it might mean "mistress" or "ruler" in Assyrian."

I love the character of Artoo, and his name is not dumb sounding in and of itself. If you think about it, though, it's kind of goofy. His name is R2-D2. The "Artoo" is because he is an "R2" unit. It's kind of akin to referring to your pet calico as "Cat".
