I never saw this, but it's hard not to raise an eyebrow at a bonus feature titled "Pete Smith Sings Aerosmith".

 

I remember those. They were good, if you like fart-gags. And who doesn't?

 

Just picked up a little thing I like to call Heroes Season 1 from the brand new JB Hi-Fi directly across the road from my place of employ. As I indicated in another thread, this may potentially become a problem for my bank balance...


The box is very nice indeed, all shiny-like with great comic-style text and artwork throughout. And it's only 1 week till season 2 starts! Wheeee!

 

bugger really? Better get to and watch the rest of season one then!! Hmmm... that might be something to do whilst I have no net connection next week! hooray!

 

Yeah, I wondered whether or not you'd be drawn by the lure of Heroes on DVD across the street

I picked it up as well, and it is damn shiny. Will have to get my dad to finish watching it now that we don't have to watch it on a tiny laptop screen

I also picked up a couple of Australian made releases. Good Guys Bad Guys was this strange little crime show set in Melbourne during the late 90s, about an ex-cop from a family of criminals now running a dry cleaning business, and people from both sides of the law always hassling him for help.

I've also ordered two mystery movies starring David Wenham, Stiff and The Brush-off. They're about the aide to the Arts Minister for the Victorian Government being forced to investigate crimes for his boss.

How To Win Money Playing Texas Hold'em - don't knock it, I've learnt a few things, and I have starting winning money.

I'm trying to scope a copy of Bodyline and I have a copy of the War of the Worlds musical coming my way - it's paid for, just not collected yet.

 

Today's DVDs aquired are the Time-Flight/Arc of Infinity box, and Ghost Light. I'm kind of lamenting how sucky the lutwyche JB's Doctor Who section is really - I was originally after the Keeper of Traken/Logopolis/Castrovalva box.

 

Such a dangerous place..the DVD section when one actually has money.
Strangely I hardly bought anything. Last week I've bought Jurassic Park and Lost world set. Forgot how GREAT Jurassic Park is. Fell asleep watching it though. No indication of greatness.

Got A New Hope today. My other copy is almsot destroyed. Scratched and whatever else. Little munckin hands!, and possibly overuse on bad DVD players.
Cool thing is that this one has the original and remastered films on it.

As per usual, I've been buying Doctor Who dvds again. I now have the New Beginnings box and Caves of Androzani so my collection of Who is slowly increasing.

Hopefully there's still some I need by the time I hit the JB-HiFi stand at Brisnova next year.

 

I know everyone who's awesome already has the Futurama dvds lying around somewhere, but just for anyone who has missed out, JB-HiFi has Seasons 1 - 4 for $24.98 each. Yay!

That covers all my nights in for a while...
