    I think I have a DVD habit...

    Today I picked up:

Cowboy Bebop Remix Volume One and Collector's Box
The Chronicles of Riddick: Director's Cut
    Ghostbusters Ultimate Collextion

That last one is not really that ultimate to be far; it's missing a lot of the extras, but it's cheap and the movies them selves are great. haven't seen the Director's Cut of Riddick yet, and Bebop is just plain good.

    Be seeing you,

    Magnus Darcrider

I just got all 4 seasons of "Mr Show with Bob & David" and "Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical" from dvdcrave. :D

Mr Show is one of the funniest sketch comedy shows ever made, it was made in the mid to late nineties and it is equal parts odd, clever, insightful and just downright hilarious. And it is definitely not for kids or the elderly. :D

The Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical DVD is well worth having, not only is it the best (and funniest) damn musical ever made but the disc comes with the full version of the original film (1936) plus an audio commentary and behind the scenes featurette.
The DVD case it comes in is also chocolate scented (I'm not kidding).

Got 5th Element today, finally. Thankyou to our great liaison in the DVD retail industry, Murder Sambo, for the discount :)

Complete 007 collection is coming out soon, in either Hard Case ($300) or Attache Case ($400). The question remains, am I prepared to pay an extra $100 for the fancy Attache Case? Not too sure [face_skull]

Also preordered Battlestar Galactica Season 2, coming out August 16, and get my free mini-mouse :D

While I love the Bond films, I'm not sure if they're high enough up on my DVD list to actually want to purchase them currently.

Though that attache case is damn cool.

If any further proof be needed that I have a nasty DVD habit, I procurred last week:

Lois & Clark ? The New Adventures of Superman: The Complete First Season
    Neverwhere
    Rocketeer
Lois & Clark ? The New Adventures of Superman: The Complete Second Season

Note that Lois & Clark is probably not the best thing to watch right before Superman Returns. Since Clark in the TV series is so obviously the Post-Crisis 'Man of Steel' Clark Kent, as opposed to the more Silver Age dorky Clark Kent of the earlier comics and Donner films, it's more than a little jarring.

    Be seeing you,

*note to self: steal Magnus's collection of superman dvds [face_thinking]*

There is something about both Dean Cain and Terri Hatcher that pisses me off these days. Whilst I did watch the series religiously when they were on, I think I'll always love the dorky Clark from Superman 1 & 2 (& Returns... duh).

I'm not sure if you care about specal features or not but you're better off ordering the Princess Bride from the states. The Australian version is terrible.

You can get the US version from dvdpacific for $12.50(AUS)

The Lone Gunmen DVD is finally comign to Australia!

It's out on the 21st and JB are going to be selling it for $25!

Another great show that Fox axed halfway through the first season, they're good at that.

Actually, Dean Cain is apparently just 6 feet fall. But he was hired primarily to play Clark Kent, and at that he's excellent, even if he had to stand on a box to make Teri Hatcher look shorter :p

I dunno if that's true, but he was entertaining enough.

Yes, the new editions of The Princess Bride in the US look awesome. Gotta get me that "Dread Pirate" Edition.

Hasn't "The Lone Gunmen" been out for a while? I saw it at JB last week for about $45. Are they re-issuing it in cheaper packaging?

I read a review about the new editions of Princess Bride at IGN, apparantly they are exactly the same as the previous US release with new covers.

The main addition is a "mockumentary" about the history and life of The Dread Pirate Roberts. There are apparently some other extras too, but if you haven't bought the original version like myself, then it's all good.
