E.T. in phantom menace

anybody else notice that in the debate scene where everyone is shouting "vote now" that there is a "pod" full of spielberg's E.T.'s?
this was my first post and first topic here... so let me just say, i love all of these films and
i cant wait for episode 3
possible h.r. giger alien appearance? just kidding folks

 

I have seen some pictures about these "E.T. senators", but I don't know are they fake or not.

This is confirmed and quite old news. Yes there are E.T.s in the Senate scene.

 

That is one of my favorite seens in episode 1. It made me laugh so hard when I saw it. In LotR you can see E.T dressed as a haradrim.

Correct. This has been brought up over and over again since...well, the release.

In E.T theres a lot of star wars refrences so i quess lucas uh did the same.. isent there something from blade runner in the phantom menace to? or it could of been another star wars movie. Cause in blade runner you can the millenium flacon.

As for E.T. in the senate scene, I don't really mind this kind of thing too much but I also try to forget that it's there. Takes me out of the SW universe a little too much.

It's near the beginning if I remember right. The Falcon model is used as a building. It's standing upright on it's engines.
