According to the ANH novelization, Luke once owned a dog.

Threepio also screamed "Die Jedi Dogs" in the arena.

I always thought he said "Die Jedi Die". I'm pretty sure that's what I heard.

Apparently bears exist there, hence the title "Bear Clan" for the group of younglings Yoda trains in AotC.

    Bulls, hence the term bull's-eye.
Though I suppose if you want to get overly picky, you could say they mean bull as the male sex of an animal (male bovine = bull, male whale = bull, sea lion etc).

They even gave ducks a databank entry at Starwars.com. When I first saw it, I didn't believe it: http://www.starwars.com/databank/creature/duck/index.html

    Probably, yes. Good observation! :)
Mmmm, maybe the flies around Watto's head also come from our humble galaxy!

Well, the DVD says "Die Jedi dogs" in both the sound and subtitles. I also remember dogs in the theatrical release, and I live in America. I don't know where you got this info from, but it doesn't sound very accurate to me! :)

Hey, if we take ship names (Falcon), then there is also Bossk's "Hound's Tooth"! Does that count as an earthly animal?
In the EU, there's also the "Black Asp".

There are also pandas. (in the ANH novel)

And somehow Luke knows about them.

Yet he doesn't know about ducks?

Where does it refer to pandas in the ANH novel?

Although he doesn't know about ducks, OB1 surely educated him with his repeated references to them!

Are we forgetting that StarWars is Earthly in origin? Nevermind go back to you're own universe.
