    So, who felt what?

6.5 magnitude, centered near San Simeon. 4.4 aftershock.

Our house shook a little, mostly just swayed for a rather long time.

Yes, I felt it as well. It reminded me of being on a boat.

I PMed two people in my WUL who also live in California. One of them lives in Palm Desert, and she felt a minor shock and little else. The other lives in the Napa area, and I have yet to hear from him.

    Are all of you alright?

I'm fine, I didn't wake up. What time did it happen?

Cool! Hopefully this takes some pressure of our coast, so we don't have to worry about a "big one". :D

Yeah, I know what you mean, YJ. A 6.5 would probably take some pressure off the fault.

And as long as they stay away from Ventura county. :D

Edit: Aftershock as I posted that, did you feel it?

I felt the first one, just some light swaying, chandelears and stuff. I was out and about during the aftershock, so I didn't feel it at all.

Felt the first one, although it was a bit disorienting - it felt like a bout of dizzyness or something, not an earthquake. My mom felt absolutely nothing. Neither did the families of coworkers who live in the T.O. area.

I was coming back from lunch during the aftershock, so I didn't feel it.

Earthquakes happen frequently in our region. Every week there is a seismology report in the Ventura County Star. I plan on reading the next report, but I am fairly certain that this will be on the front page of tomorrow's paper.

EDIT: When I said tomorrow's paper, I meant articles about the quakes.
