well, i am sad about the first two....not really about the QM....to be honest i never really liked her, and plus she had a good run, and it was on the cards for the last several years anyway....

 

yea, but she was b100dy great for her age.

OK, I've found my teeth and had my afternoon nap, so now it's time for a short history lesson ...

Milton Berle was an American comedian who started out on radio and the early days of TV. He's probably more you grandfather's generation of stars (along with Bob Hope - I know, "who's he" ), but was actively working very recently. I can't say I ever saw him much other than guest star spots on shows like Love Boat.

Dudley Moore was another comedian who started out in England, but he was also a musican and did quite a few movies, including Arthur, Arthur 2, and 10. He was probably more your father's generation of stars. Prime TV is playing another of his movies on Tuesday night at 8:30pm (2 April). He had a Parkinsons-type illness (similar to Michel J. Fox), which was indirectly responsible for his death by weakening his immune / recovery system.

The Queen Mum was the Queen's mum.
