The first game of Edited has been completed. Thank you to all the participants - writers and judges. I hope you all had fun.

Now, are there any suggestions or changes anyone would like to see? Shorter deadlines? Longer deadlines? Harder requirements?

I'm open to all opinions.

 

Wow! Thanks everybody! Everyone did a great job! I enjoyed reading all the stories. If I was to change anything I would make the story lengths 250, 500, 1000, but that is because I have a hard time writing short stories. I like the deadlines and the word prompts. This was a very enjoyable challenge.

 

Wow, I was definitely anticipating Nyota to walk away with the prize, but congrats Carlos!

 

Thanks LOL and I want to comment on the requirements: they were interesting and flexible and could be placed in a variety of contexts It really helped with creativity. I like the intervals - it made things fast-paced without feeling rushed. And as for word limits: perhaps going up by 250 spans so starting at 250, then 500, then 750. I didn't have a problem with 100 words having done several UDC threads.

Is it going to be the same rules with 100, 250 and 500 word stories?

 

We can increase the word count to 250 - 450 - 650 if folks are interested. And the word counts are not exact - they just need to be somewhere around the limit

 

Missed out on signups last time 'round due to the entry forms being snatched up before I could decide whether or not to commit. That said, sign me up for Round 2, and I'd be in favor of the (slightly) higher word counts.
