Roch, NY Elections

Hey Hey Hey!

At the last meeting (on October 12th) we announced that there are going to be elections at our next club meeting which is on October 26th.

The way the elections will work is as follows:

1.) An active member* nominates another active member* of the club for a position via email to RochesterRebellion@yahoo.com

(Ex: Han Solo says "I would like to nominate Chewbacca for President").

We will then notify the person being nominated via email. They then have until October 24th to decide whether they want to run or not. Nomination will be taken no later than 11:59pm on October 24th. An email with all the candidates running will be send out shortly after. If you are nominated for a position and we do not hear back from you before the specified time, we will assume you are declining your nomination.

Available Positions Include:

President
--- Preside over all regular and special meetings of the organization
---Exercise general supervision over regular club activities and events
---Approve all committees, regular or special
---Preside over the Executive Board

Treasurer/CR
---Supervise all financial transactions of the organization and keep all financial records.
---Relay FanForce information from the FanForce Officials, RSA and other CR's to the President and Secretary.
---Monitor the FanForce Board in accordance to the rules.

Secretary
---Keep an accurate roll of members and keep the minutes of all meetings.
---Send out notices of upcoming events to the Yahoo!Group as well as to the FanForce Boards.
---Update the club calendar and website.
---Serve as the contact person for the group to outside organizations.

2.) Once the person accepts the nomination, they will then be added to the ballot.

3.) Voting will be held at the meeting on October 26th at 1:00pm. If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can send in your votes via email to RochesterRebellion@yahoo.com no later than 12:00pm on October 26th.

*Active member is defined as: A person who has attended a minimum of 3 meetings and 1 club event from August 2002 to the present. An active member also attends 1 meeting every 2 months.

Just a reminder,

Election Nominations are due by 11:59pm tonight. Any nominations after that time will not be accepted.

Has anyone been officially nominated? Like, and been notified by email? I was told that I was nominated when I showed up at the last meeting, but I don't know if Dave, Nik, and Ryan were just messing with my head, or being serious.....

If you guys were being serious, I accept the nomiation, if you were just kidding, shame on you.
