    I'm not sure exactly how "the DS needs help fighting off the Jedi."

    Vader vs. Luke in ESB

    Luke vs. Vader, Luke mad at Vader in ROTJ, Luke close to killing Vader.

    Maul takes on a Jedi Master and his Padawan (who will become of the most famous Jedi Knights) in TPM and just barely loses.

    Dooku takes on Anakin, Obi-Wan, AND Yoda by himself.

    Yeah, the Sith sure seem like they need help.
