Well Jedi Guardians has been out for a few weeks now, so i think its time we set up for the next Expansion.

As well as the New card type, 'Location', There is also going to be New abilities, as well as the First Fan made Card!

Thats right, Mara Jade Skywalker debuts in this set!

Your right, but later if they make some Post RotJ EU cards she will be a Skywalker, and it may be pretty funny watching them explain that they are the same person

Im actually wondering what new abilities they will have, we know the card, what abilities?

 

I think her card is awesome even without abilities. I bet she'll have Deflect and Evade, possibly even the ability to attack the build zone, considering she was a covert agent. I think it would be cool if she could make your opponent reveal one of their build cards each turn.

I've been away so I've missed a whole weeks worth of news.
I cant wait for the Mara card I alread hve put some cards aside to trade for her If I'm not luky enough to pull one myself.
Do we know her rareity yet?

She's probably going to be a full star rare. If not for her abilities, just the fact that everyone will want one. Thank goodness WotC doesn't do like Decipher and have extremely rares. I also have a nice bunch of rares from JG and BOY to trade if need be.

I don't think the pic is bad at all. She is *evil* (or even "Ev-eel") after all and has to look the part.

Even when she is Luke's wife, she is a tough warrior woman that could make most men cry if they piss her off and she just looks at them a certain way. She was never one for looking like she just came from a Miss Galaxy FFA contest.

Yeah man, I can't do more than one showing of a specific movie a day. That must have hurt!

 

I'm hoping they don't add any new abilities to this set. They are starting to have too many and it is making the game too complicated. If they do add one, I just want it to be one. Anyone else agree with me?

I like new ones because it keeps it interesting.

 

It also keeps the game fresh, when a new set comes out you have to rebuild decks to keep ahead of the new abilities, or untilise them

I agree. I don't think it's too complicated because for the first two or so sets they actually print what the ability does on the card. It adds a bit of strategy and I feel it takes if from that original kiddie game level to a more serious level, like SWCCG. Now you have to think about what your opponent can do, like Intercept, or have to worry about attacking someone because of Retaliation and create a balance, worry about things like Bombard and Ion Cannons. I like new abilities and hope they continue to add them.

 

True, but i hope there isnt a time that there are too many abilities, so when an opponant plays one, someone wont go, huh, whats that.

Not yet. It is still about 3-4 months away.
