OK, here we go... The special effects have been finalized, the audio's been sweetened, and everything's looking pristine. I give you, THE FINAL CUT!
Truly a work of art! The video has been posted on Vimeo (), which the Uncut project web site is using as their video host. The scene should appear on the Uncut web site (http://www.starwarsuncut.com/empire/319) in a couple of hours. Thanks to all the cast and crew who helped! You all deserve major kudos for your participation, bullied into it or otherwise. I have no doubt we'll end up in the final cut.
Still doesn't seem to be up on the Empire Uncut page though. Hey, can someone help me get a list of credits together? I need the names of everyone who worked on the shoot. Here's what I have so far, but I think I'm missing some people: CAST Lando - Jason Leia - Tom Han - JT C3PO - Becca Chewbacca - Dan Lobot - Austin Dancing Boba - Psy Shane Dancing Tebow - Nigel CREW Director - JT AD/Cinematographer/Audio/Best Boy Grip - Ben Ligiting/Grip/Set - Linda, Nigel, Lynnelle, Dan, Jaysin's son, Jaysin's son's friend Mustache Artist - Courtney Emotional Support - Chris POST Editor, Sound Designer, ADR, Special Effects, Colorist - Ben
There's stuff happening in both shots you probably won't notice unless you watch it a few times. I noticed you can't really even hear the Gangnam Style music if you watch it on a mobile device or a laptop with smaller speakers. It's very faint and I did that on purpose. Edit: There's also a piece of Jason's undershirt that gets keyed out in the first shot because it was green. You can't really tell in the final cut unless you look really closely at 1080p, but you can see it better on the intermediate cut where the lines of the floor behind him are showing through.
I'd say that you and I were both directors instead of listing you as AD. I think you got everybody! Whew!
I have emailed the Uncut people to ask why our video isn't appearing on their site yet. It still says "Processing" 24 hours later. I'll let everybody know what I hear back. For now, let's keep the panic to a dull roar.
I'm betting they had a lot of last-minute submissions and so it's taking longer to process them. That's usually how deadlines work out.
That turned out great! Cory and his friend Shawn loved it too; and thanks for letting them help out they really had a great time.
Panic over! Time to celebrate and wait for them to finish the final product so we can see how much of our 15 seconds they use.
