Beyond - Legends En Taro the Force (Starcraft/Young Jedi Knight crossover)

A/N: I?ve been thinking of this fic for a long time, ever since I?ve read RK Striker JK 5?s Star Wars/Star Trek crossover fanfic. There will be no exchange of fire between Star Destroyers and Terran Battlecruisers or Protoss carriers however. The time of the story takes place in Young Jedi Knights in the Star Wars universe, while in the Starcraft Universe, it is before the final battle with the Overmind, thus the Protoss and the Terrans have formed an alliance to finally defeat the enemy of all life, the Zerg.

Now, without further delay, En Taro the Force will begin.

Prologue: After rescuing Praetor Tassadar from the Protoss Conclave, the mighty Protoss Templar conveyed with his generals, and their new allies, Jim Raynor and his sect of Terrans, the Raynor?s Raiders and Zeratul of the Dark Templar. They met in space, on the massive platforms that were built. There, their forces gathered, and prepared to make the jump to Aiur?

Chapter 1: A Whole New Universe
Loading Platform, deep space
Jim Raynor?s eyes scanned his surroundings, watching as his marines loaded the munitions into awaiting shuttles. From the bridge of the Hyperion, he could see his men getting ready to fight their most hated enemy, the Zerg. The zerg had taken his men?s homes, family, their entire livelihood, and they were willing to die to bring an end to the threat. His loyal friends and soldiers on the bridge of his Behemoth-class Battlecruiser, a 1700 meter long craft, were relaying transmissions to their allies, the Protoss, led by the Praetor Tassadar.

?This is going to be the largest battle?ever?I may not be awake the next day afterwards?? Jim thought, looking as SCVs finished building the mobile command centers, Barracks, and needed spaceports that would be loaded onto the other Battlecruisers, ?Damn Mengsk?he should be here?even though he is responsible?? he remembered, her, at the back of his mind, ??and we need all the backup we can get.?

?Sir! Praetor Tassadar and Commander Zeratul are requesting to board the ship!?

?Allow them ensign,? Jim ordered calmly. He never had been to use to using the military labels, but he had to assume an authority of command, ?Hard to believe I was formerly a Marshal on Mar Sara??

The fleet that he had established was mostly those factions unhappy on how the Zerg was being dealt with by both the Terran Confederacy and the Terran Dominion. Most of them also had fought right beside Jim on Mar Sara, they were all that was left of that colony. While others?were mercenaries, only fighting for money.

Jim heard a loud swishing sound, and he looked over to see a completed Command Center lift off the platform and float towards an awaiting Battlecruiser. He then heard the automated doors of the bridge open, and looked back to see two of the Protoss Commanders standing there.

?En Taro Adun, Jim Raynor,? both of the Protoss announced their telepathic greeting to Jim.

?Welcome to my ship, Tassadar, Zeratul,? Jim said with a nod, ?My fleets preparations are almost complete, is there something to report my friends??

?Yes Jim, Observers have found an Ion storm gathering on route to Aiur, I suggest we find a new route,? Tassadar suggested, hoping his ally would listen.

?We have to risk it; this Ion Storm would give us the cover we would need to sneak past the Zerg Sentry units on Aiur,? Jim replied, taking a step to his Protoss allies, ?Even though it might be dangerous, we must take it.?

?You know war well, Jim Raynor. It is true that the Ion Storm might provide much needed cover for our fleets, but it might also decimate them,? Zeratul interjected, his fiery blue eyes flashing, ?A calculated risk we have to take to defeat the Zerg. Yes, that is what we must do.?

?Glad you have no objections, Zeratul. My force will be ready to launch in an hour,? Jim then smirked, ?We are going to hit the Zerg hard and fast. A blitzkrieg; that is the best scenario of defeating them on Aiur.?

?Very well Commander, we will await you on the[

Very interesting start, too. I wanna see Luke and Zeratul have a blade fight.

Juhu, a Star Wars and Star Craft crossover! Love it. Force sensitive Protoss and Terrans, wise like Yoda.........great idea. Just hope that the Zerg will never find a way to attack the academy and our galaxy.

 

I don't know that much about Starcraft, but I love this fic. And glad I inspired you to write this, dude.

Tassadar is 358 years old by the time of the fic, in human terms he is an full grown adult. Artanis, age 262, would still be considered a teenager in Protoss society. Zeratul is the oldest Protoss on board, 634 standard years old.

I am planning on Lusa and Artanis bonding in the fic. Since Artanis kind of doesn't like humans very much, but he does like their art pre-Battle of Aiur(Before he took Tassadar's place as Praetor).

 

Since I didnt' cover Protoss ships too well, I'll give some info for those out there who are unfamilar with Starcraft:

The Arbiters: Large, fighter/bomber craft, they look like Prince Xisor's Virago heavy assault fighter. They are armed with stasis field projectors, which incase ships and other units in an ice like substance), they can also recall the stasis. They are armed with the standard Protoss weaponry, an aireal photon cannon. They also cast a cloaking field behind them, making them ideal for sneaking a large fleet past unweary eyes.

The Protoss Scout: Basically the Protoss snub fighter. They are equipped with powerful energy shields, are extremely agile, and are extremely fast as well. For use against ground photon bullets from specialized guns on the wings. For use against air units, they fire what is similar to the proton torpedo, anti-matter missiles.

Protoss Carriers: Extremely powerful and well protected capital ships of the Protoss Navy. Like the Mon Calamari cruisers, they have no hard angles. 3800 meters long they are, and for offensive weaponry, heavy photon cannons bristle below the bridge, as well as the Interceptors they launch. Interceptors are small, shielded, yet sacrificial fighters like the TIE Fighter, and if an Interceptor is destroyed, there are no loss of life, due to all the pilots of the Interceptors don't leave their seats on the Protoss Carrier.

With help from the New Republic, the Terrans and Protoss will have more variety of capital ships to use and create. When the Zerg arrive in part two of my fic(and they start infesting/controlling Star Destroyers and other capital ships) the Protoss are going to have destroyer craft, cruiser craft, gunships, and battleships in their arsenals. The Terrans are going to have similar craft, and to make their unshielded ships stronger, they intergrate Star Wars shields into their construction. The Protoss and Jim's Raiders are going to join the New Republic.

 

I am going to be updating soon, so I am bumping this topic up.

 

Sweet story. I plays Starcraft too and I will be keeping an eye on this story. I wonders if any Dark Templars will be in this story?

 

Since the fleet was going to attack the Overmind, there are plenty of Dark Templar with Zeratul, Tassadar, and Raynor.

 

Chapter 2: Many Meetings
Yavin IV
The Jade Sabre entered the landing field near the Jedi Academy. Mara eased the stick up and her modified yacht and landed it next to Han Solo?s modified YT-1300 freighter, the Millennium Falcon. Han and Chewie were already adding another upgrade to their already. The exit/entrance ramp of the Sabre eased down and both Luke and Mara exited their vessel.

Han wiped his hands that had the grease of the engine on them, and he put down his hydrospanner. Chewie gave a welcoming roar before easing back into the engine with his plasma torch.

?Welcome back guys, that was a short trip,? Han said as he walked forward to his brother in law and best friend, ?How was Coruscant??

?As busy as usual, Han,? Mara replied drolly, rolling her eyes and stretching her arms, ?I don?t know how Leia can tolerate those stuffy politicians and crowds on that megalopolis??

?She was raised that way, Mara,? Luke interjected, stepping in for his sister, ?Anyway, we found this strange fleet near Yavin.?

?What? You did? What do they want?? Han asked, his old instincts flaring up, and Luke put out his arms.

?Calm down my friend, the strange fleet seemed not to know where they were. The leaders of the fleet are coming down here to meet us by the way,? Luke replied, ?Don?t worry; we have nothing to fear from them.?

Han turned around to continue with his work, and he grumbled, ?I hope your Jedi Senses are right, Luke??

?Hey, he does have a record of being right most of the time,? Mara joked, trying to lighten Han?s mood.

?Yeah, you?re right about that, Mara. He did turn Vader back to the Light after all?? Han said, picking up his hydrospanner, and he looked over to the toolbox that was on the ground near the Jade Sabre, ?Hey Luke, can you??

?Sure,? Luke replied, waving his hand, making the toolbox levitate towards Han, ?What are you working on anyway??

?Another speed upgrade for the Falcon; will come handy in a dogfight. Chewie is installing new shields for it too,? Han replied, taking out his plasma torch, ?You can set it down near the left side of the engine, Luke.?

?Alright, see you later Han,? Luke said as he levitated the toolbox over to the left engine, ?I am going to get Jaina, Jacen, Tenel Ka, and Anakin ready for the meeting.?

?Okay, I?ll be there. I want to see the ships this fleet has,? Han replied, not looking up from his wielding.

Luke and Mara walked off the landing field towards the temple. The Jedi Masters felt their students training, and smiled. This meeting was going to be important, and they knew it.

United Protoss/Terran Fleet in orbit of Yavin
On the Hyperion, Jim Raynor walked threw the corridors with two Marine escorts. He was going to the Ghost?s quarters, and he stopped outside of it. The door swished open, and the Ghosts in the room stood rigidly at attention.

?At ease, I suppose you all heard the announcement, correct?? Raynor started, taking out a cigar, ?We are going to meet these ?Jedi? and try to get some information on where we are, and probably how to get back.?

?Yes sir!?

?Now, I need three of you to accompany me down to the moon,? Raynor?s eyes then scanned the room, and he focused on the three Ghost he liberated from the Dominion?s Nova Squadron, ?Nova, Fire, and Watcher, you?re with me.?

?Yes sir!? all three of them yelled, and Raynor stood there for a second.

?Well, what are you waiting for, a written invitation?? Raynor joked, ?Come on, we are going down to my shuttle. Oh, one more thing, call me Jim, ?Captain?, ?General?, or ?Sir? are too rigid for my taste.?

?Of course, Jim,? the three young Ghosts muttered, and they grabbed their C-10 Canister rifles, and followed Raynor out the door.

The three Ghosts followed Raynor down to the docking/launching bay level, and a bunch of Marines standing there saluted the six Terrans boarding the shuttle. I

 

Nice interaction between the two groups, and good insertion of exposition about the Zerg. Loved the decriptions of the Protoss.

 

I am planning on having Jaina and Zekk get kidnapped in later chapters by Thrackan Sal-Solo, just like in your fic, but he is going to have back up from 3 captured Star Destroyers(one Imperial, two Victory-Class), as well as backup from Ailyn Vel...Boba Fett's Daughter.

Boba Fett is going to ironically work together with Luke and Han, as well as Zeratul, Nova, and Watcher(the boarding party for Thrackan's captured Imperial Star Destroyer), while Palleon and Ackbar work with the Protoss and Terrans in creating an invisible perimeter around the three captured Star Destroyers.

Sounds cool?

After rescuing Jaina and Zekk, Han turns to Boba Fett, "I never once thought I would say this, but thanks, Bo-"

Boba shakes his head, "I've learned something about Mandalorian Honor, and there is no need for thanks. I did this to try to make amends with my daughter."

"Well, thanks to Luke, you might, one day, get to do that," Han told him, "So, you still going to hunt me?"

"No, for now on, you and your family are off limits..." Boba Fett replies, and he turns to walk away, "Solo, we may work together again one day, and may it be blessed with glory for both of us."

"Okay, thanks," Han tells him, and Fett walks over to the Slave V, and flies off.


That'll happen at the end of the 3 part arc.

Nice update. However, you don't need to spoil some things, such as the story details you mentioned about Jacen being kidnapped.
