Summary: After the death of Siri Obi-Wan visits a place where he thinks of her
Disclaimer: Star Wars = George Lucas.

Obi-Wan had finally come to terms with the loss of Siri on Azure. He had wandered for nights the great halls of the Jeditemple. He had loved her dearly but he was no longer afraid of his memories of that love. They would be with him; always.

Master Aaqu had seen him when he stood by one of the windows of the temple and dawn was announcing its approach by colouring the surroundings in a pink and soft yellow haze.

Obi-Wan had told him of his memories of Siri, of that time when he was recovering from a difficult mission in that small cottage on the outskirts of a village on Moniron. It was a few months before these awful Clone-wars broke loose. Siri had visited him when he was nearly recovered and they had spent some days together. They returned together to the temple and Anakin was waiting for him.

    ---
Master Aaqu had advised him to take a few days of rest and now Obi-Wan was doing just that, going to seek one of the places that reminded him of Siri.

He had taken a Jedistarfighter, one of those new models, with the ball-shaped cockpit Anakin was so fond of because it gave him excellent visibility. An Eta-2 Actis interceptor they called it, but you still needed a hyperspace-ring to get somewhere. Four jumps were needed and the last part he had to fly manually through the nebula surrounding the Moniron star-system. You needed a ship in good condition to do this as small particles abraded your hull and clogged the intakes. After two trips to Moniron a ship needed repairs and that?s why Moniron is so unpopulated and shunned by most of the beings in the republic. He knew of the Dunai elder and their descendants the Dunai who lived there as Master Aaqu had told him many stories of them.

Obi-Wan had discovered that his mother was from this planet and had married a human farmer who owned the cottage. His mother left on a trip to Malastare to see her brother. She had died after he was born and left him with a key to a small cabin in the wilderness.

That cabin he had visited once with Anakin but now he was on approach to the cottage where he spent such a lucky time with Siri.

He landed the starfighter on a meadow near the cottage and walked the two K distance inhaling the fragrant smells of flowers and herbs. Green Monirbirds were singing and as they were very tame one of them landed on his hand when he offered some seeds he had brought with him.

This brought a smile on his face as he remembered the time with Siri when they had taken a pick-nick basket to that same meadow and the birds had eaten their bread when Siri had begun a Force food fight.

Obi-Wan had many times said when Anakin used the Force to get his food ?no frivolous use of the Force, padawan?. After Siri was doing the same, he didn?t correct Anakin anymore but only showed a grumpy face.

Obi-Wan entered the cottage and everything was the same as almost three years ago. Some dust had settled on the table and chairs but the homely feeling was the same as that time. This had been his mothers home and after his family left, his retreat away from the Temple.

Siri had been sitting on that sofa when he had made ? or more tried to make ? an apple-pie. It had been a messy thing when it came out of the oven but it tasted good and no crumb was left.

The bedrooms were the same with fluffy and brightly coloured blankets and Obi-Wan sank down on one of them after he had refreshed himself and put on his nightclothes.
More fond memories of him and Siri came and he fell asleep with a smile on his face.
    ---

Obi-Wan was slowly waking up and the sun was shining through the window. His nose wrinkled as he smelled something and thought ?Caf, I didn?t put the caf to brew??

He dressed and went downstairs to the kitchen and as he was feeling no warning from the Force he was startled whe

Awww...that was such a bittersweet story.

I'm glad Obi-Wan had a place where he could go and enjoy his memories of Siri.

What a lovely twist to have Luke use the crystal.

    Great job on this
