I don't think even the mods have stones big enough to create a sock that so shamelessly strokes the admins that much. Hmmm...she keeps trying to be ambiguous about her gender...maybe she's an android! A renegade android originally created by the TF.n staff for public relations but now it's gone horribly awry. We need a Blade Runner!!

Question: So would the hieroglyphs warning against entering Tutankhamun's tomb upon pain of death be considered encrypted curses?

How about using code. Would that be an "encrypted" curse.

I must admit this has been an entertaining thread....
I never realised there was such complexity to cursing... It would seem cursing is an art form...

How about simply not cursing at all??? :D

(oh, and Im not personally offended by cursing, but cursing is ok in some places and not others. It had been decided even before I got involved, that the JC is not a place for cursing. I chose to abide by this when I joined.)

As for the 13 year old limit, well, in theory the boards are open to absolutely everyone, but Snowboards does not implement COPPA, so american 13 years are not allowed to sign in. Software limitation.. But 13 years old in other countries are more than welcome.

Swearing by an admin so soon after the swearing crackdown started.

Edit: This is nothing against you tonyf, I just wanted to point out that it's impossible to stop all swearing. I saw a couple more swears today, too.

I think perhaps the SC admins aren't quite up to date on the new rules about asterisks.

Edit: Not the admin I thought you meant! Since when was what tonyf said a swear word?

I don't think the people in the SC care about the asterisk rule.

And tonyf didn't curse, BigMike. Dammit isn't a curse word here. Dammity damn, damn, dammit! See?

Not dammit, but the word that starts with p.

Edit: This was classified as offensive a few months ago. I don't have time to go fishin' for the thread but it was classified. Still waiting for Padme Bra's response to this one.

Oh yeah. I completly glossed over 'piss', and only noticed 'dammit'. Well I don't know if 'piss' is a bad word or not. My first impression is that is it not, since an admin used it. I probably wouldn't use it though, just to be on the safe side. We all know how much more admins get away with than us little folk. ;)
