I sold some artwork and prints of my work at a Sci-fi convention in Boston last month. Jeremy Bulloch himself bought an original Fett painting (seen with me in the picture below, you can also see the picture at his website). i just wanted to share thee joy, Happy Life Day. Kevin

    http://img238.imageshack.us/my.php?image=civjp6.jpg

This is a drawing of the Rancor and Doikk Na'ts of the cantina band. both characters were designed and then "performed" by Phill Tippet, an ILM creature designer, who signed the page at C-IV when it was still blank. when asked what i should draw on it, Mr. tippett suggested the Rancor, and then asked me to send a scan of it to to his company's email address so he could see the finished drawing.

These are my final three paintings for C-IV, boba Fett, C-3P0 & R2D2 and the death star & the Devastator (WIP).

This is my 3rd painting for CIV: "Admiral Ackbar". I wanted to do a painting that was reminisent of the old War General pictures one may see at the White house or some place.

Must have taken a while (is work THAT bad!? :p)
I love how you've spoofed the Beatles with the Mos Eisley Cantina band...
    I think it's terrific!

I created the image in Illustrator. It was a friday afternoon and work was slow. I had thought of this idea for a while, origanally I was going to do it as a painting, but then that would have taken a realllll long time.

Greetings, BIEREN, and welcome to the Fan Art forum! I love this piece! It's a wonderful adaption of the old Beatles album cover, and I love the way you've altered it, with the on-looking Ithorian down and across the street, and the "speeder-cars" parked up and down. Excellent work! We'll certainly be looking forward to more--and again, welcome!

LOL!! =D= Love this little scene: Valorum asking about political decision-making and Palpatine already "remodeling" the offices (to a nice, Sithly red!)!! Great work!

WOW!! Fantastico!! That's a gorgeous painting, BIEREN--is it oils on canvas, or some other medium? In any case, it's just beautiful: the almost monochrome pallette, the perfect likenesses, the sterile glimpse of the ship's bridge environment...just beautiful!! And I totally agree with Jedi_Lover--the autograph has to make this something you'll be keeping forever (and if you ever do sell it, you'll really rake in the $$ for that extra! ;) )! Fabulous work--I can't paint for love or money--pencils are my best-and-only friends when it comes to art--but I have the greatest respect and admiration for those who excel at those difficult media! Well, well done!

Yeah, its oil on canvas. Surprisingly it didn't take too long to make, about week, which is really fast for me.

LOL!! I wonder what Teddy and Abe would make of those two as eternal companions...? [face_thinking][face_laugh] Maybe replace them with Vader and Grievous...? ;) Dooku really looks like he fits right in up there, though!

And how did I miss your fabulous Yoda?! I love that one! The expression on his face is so great--almost gentle--and the coloring is beautiful! =D= for that one, for sure!

I was going to ad Vader and Maul and call it Mount Darthmore, but those two are too dark in appearance to make into stone convincingly in Photoshop...well at least for me it would be.

*chuckles* Oh, nice, I especially like the Palpatine and Valorum one...

:D You need to add Maul and Vader on Mt. Darthmore! ;)

So great! [face_laugh]=D= You make a great model for Thrawn! ;) I was musing in someone else's thread recently that we should all do self-portraits of ourselves as our favorite SW characters--this would certainly qualify for that little exercise! Great job!

    =D==D=

OH WOW!!! That's fantastic!!! What a gorgeous painting of Darth Maul! Amazing detail in the face: the tattoos, the facial contours and shading (all those tattoos are the reason I've never drawn this guy--far too hard! :p )...the robes look almost soft--a wonderful contrast to his fierce expression. Superb!! All hail the Master of Oils! Sheesh--I can't get over it! What an outstanding painting... And I have no suggestions or critique to offer--it's just amazing!

    AG, thanks for your comments.

FF- I think the Tattoo?s make Maul easy to draw. They hide his real face and can be used as a guide- kind?a like in drawing class.
