Yep, it's the 800kg Gorilla Rule - where does it sit? Anywhere it ****ing wants to.

 

My small country, a mere cipher, has had stacks upon stacks of nuclear weapons pointed at it as long as I've lived. The strange threat of total and immediate annihilation by a foreign power we can barely get an interview with, that's what makes them lead us. We have no will and our opinion is of no use.

To think there are Americans that think it's strange that I am interested in their politics.

Dunno, might be something to do with American/CIA interference in Iran, starting with the overthrow of democracy in the 1950s coup to bolster the rule of the Shah (Freedom, lol) and protect anglo-american oil interests there. It may be that - after being repeatedly ****ed over for 65 years in the name of 'Freedom' and all sorts of other glib, high-minded hogwash - actually having someone who's pretty honest about being a self-seeking, psychopathic fascist at the wheel of USS 'Murica might be refreshing. In a weird kind of way. Bless his stubby little fingers and his mad, orange face. I mean, it might just be that Trump is the American archetype and more than one person might recognise that.

It seems more likely that Ender is the Persian supreme leader, though. I'll grant you that.

Well you've met me, yeurgh, and so you should have felt the radiance of my revolutionary Islamic aura.

I have to say though - I quite applaud The Donald for saying 'we're killers too' about America. Like I've said, if you strip back the lies, hypocrisy, pretension and delusions of grandeur underpinning US rhetoric, Donald is that. Other presidents will condemn thousands to die (esp Barack "Dronestriker" Obama) but dress it up as a necessary noble act. Trump will likely tweet about how glad he is they're dead, which is if nothing else, the first honest thing an American president might have done.

 

Not sure where SuperWatto posted the "America first, Netherlands second" video, but it's now taken off and satire shows throughout Europe are now putting together videos for why the country should be second, under the hashtag #everysecondcounts

Americans, let me talk to you about redundancy.

"French Champagne" - There's no such thing as non-French Champagne.
"6am in the morning" - am means morning (before midday). There's no need to say the same damned thing twice.
"Foreign imports" - how or why the **** would you import domestic goods?

Three examples, all heard/read from US sources today. Sort it out, 'Murica.

 

All this from the Department of Redundancy Department.

 

"ATM machine" drives me into a rage.

 

I think that one is because that abbreviation has been in use for so long that people no longer know what it stands for.
