Yeah like somehow ever wearing socks and sandles is ok, excepting that one time?

It's not Dan. It's really not ok.

In eternity, where there is no time, nothing can grow.
    Nothing can become.
    Nothing changes.
So death created time to grow the things that it would kill and you are reborn but into the same life that you've always been born into.
I mean, how many times have we had this conversation, detectives?
    Well, who knows?
When you can't remember your lives, you can't change your lives, and that is the terrible and the secret fate of all life.
You're trapped by that nightmare you keep waking up into.

Next up - the Polo shirt.

The Polo shirt is a pretty versatile garment. It can be used by golfers; 19 year olds who turn their collars up and look like morons, or business people in a casual office setting.

My suggestion with a polo is know what you actually look good in. THat might mean consulting a brutally honest friend, because buying one of these:

Will make you look like a bell-end.

You can get away with wearing a polo with shorts (not cargo shorts though, you're not a teen anymore), jeans, chinos or trousers. I would suggest, for a more refined look, navy or black polos are the way to go (if you only want one or two). Lacoste, Ralph Lauren, Orange by Hugo Boss or Tommy Hilfiger are great brands to try because their quality will be resilient and their logos are fairly unobtrusive. It's just a case of wanting a small rich, probably white male on a horse back vs a crocodile or a white-and-red thingy which could be bunting, I don't know? I own a Boss Orange polo in black, and the Boss logo is stitched in black on it so it's hard to see.

Ralph Lauren have recently done a lot of more garish polos, like the one above or even this:

They did similar for the last foodball world cup. Look, it's a bit of harmless fun but honestly, if you wear a country's cout of arms or flag stitched to your polo you run the risk of being seen as a bit of a tit, and it would be deserved.

Finally, if you are wondering how you too can look like 007 in a polo, well, you'd need a Sunspel Riviera. Will cost you about £80 though:

    http://www.sunspel.com/row/mens/polo-shirts/riviera-polo-shirt-navy.html

However, the way it's pulled together as an ensemble should render it worth your time (I personally would avoid a small pocket on the polo.

Brings to mind Ivy League frat boys, or Carlton Banks.

That said, I don't mind them per se. I don't care much about fashion overall. I'd buy most of my clothes from a thrift store if I could get away with it-- that is, if I were able to find pants that fit right. :D

wait, what does Guy - polos, or popped collars?

I think it's just asshats globally. They may not be frat boys but they're still going to be horrible people. The popped collar is their way of ensuring you know this.

I arrange my **** so I don't have to worry about clothes.

    My work wardrobe:
    • 4 charcoal coloured suits
    • 12 white shirts (mostly French cuff)
    • 2 pairs black shoes
    • various conservative ties
    • charcoal/black socks
    • plain silver cufflinks
Nice and easy. Every week I drop off 1 suit and 5 shirts to the dry cleaner and collect the same. Two suits are more suited to winter, but beyond that I can pick any suit + shirt + tie combination and it works. Always use a half-Windsor knot. Good planning = zero thought given to what I'm wearing on any particular day. Life's too short.
My casual wardrobe is just as bad. Tactical pants + t-shirt + hoodie + Chuck Taylors. I do have a couple of pairs of jeans, but hate wearing them. I like to be able to move... to know at any point I can rest in a squatting position, do some mobility work or kick someone in the head.
Gym wardrobe? Shorts & tshirt. I normally train barefoot, but I have a few pairs of minimalist shoes for my rare visits to commercial gyms and running on hard terrain.

I have a couple Bunn Special 18 Size Pocket Watches in 18k Gold Hunter Cases other than that the only gold watch I have is a early Omega Pie Pan Connie.

Everything else is all SS, I like vintage Matte Dial Rolex Sport Watches (I have a GMT1675, 5513 Submariner and 5512 Submariner.) I have 4 different Omega Speedmaster Professionals including a a Cal. 321on original bracelet and 3 early Cal. 861s' all on Original bracelets the newest having the ref #1171 hair puller bracelet. 15 years ago I bought that Cal 321 for $800 its a $8k watch easy today.

If you want to learn about real watches go to timezone.com the best biggest collector site in the world.

The sales corner has 2 categories $5k and below and above $5k.

I would love a older Ulysse Nardin 1846 with the round date display, but they are really hard to find.
