    Anyone know where I can find an energy ball tutorial. Please don't pt me to ryan's site, its only a clip lol.

    There's a million ways to do it, but Ry just had a bunch of layers of clouds that expand quickly.

    I know you said don't link Ryan's site, but he has the project file for download on his FAQ page... about the 9th question down. It's an AE setup if you use AE... it'll help you get an idea of how to do it. As mentioned above though it's basically a bunch of cloudy looking pictures that expand rapidly.
