    Is Enterprise still on ?

    Who would have thought.

I thought they'd replaced it with Survivor and Football...

Had the TV on in the background the other day and heard the opening lines of the Enterprise theme song "It's been a long road..." etc. and I thought YEAH BABY! They've given us a gratuitous episode to make up for everytime they cancel because of some urgent special broadcast about Australia's copper medal tally for the Commonwealth Regional Australasian Prowess (CRAP) games.

But no... it was the end of friggin Patch Adams. THAT'S where they got the theme song for Trek from! Sacrilege! /shakes her head sadly ... I feel so disillusioned.

Last week's episode rocked (more weapons, more POWER mmmmMMM). Did anyone else think that ship looked Romulan even though the aliens didn't?

I haven't watched the show in over a month.

It was nothing intentional - I just missed a week or 2 then afterwards forgot to watch it. I honestly thought they had cancelled the show by now (everytime I look at the TV guide for Wednesday nights there always seems to be football on).

I might try and get back into the show again soon but I'm in no hurry. I've been reading about the progress of the show in the US and it seems as though nothing really happens much in the 1st season (which is nearly finished - if not already - in the US).

I haven't watched in about a month but that's because it hasn't been on. Every time I check to see if it's on, there's &%#@* survivor or some other rubbish on instead. There was one week I didn't check and that was probably the one week that it actually was on.

    Yar!

I'm with ya there dammit. I think it's a conspiracy to weed out the geeks by putting Trek on later and later until they slowly eliminate it. Or maybe they just want us hungry for it when Nemesis comes out.

Either way I've been haunting video stores for my fix (curses upon the meanieboogers at Ch9). Shame, shame, shame. Or, to quote Mulan and Imzadi's sig: Dishonour on you! Dishonour on your cow!

I got all the eps off the net with my optus@home service but now optus are imposing a download cap of only 3gb so I'll have to wait till season 2 starts on Australian tv :(

    Dishonor on then I say!

I'm with you Luigi, frankly Optus is becoming too big for their boots. This 3 GB cap is outrageous, it eliminates the potential for free trade of pirated goods, not to mention every person's right to download as much pr0n as they desire. I'm this close to writing a stern letter to the folks at Optus, shaming them for their blatant disregard of the teenage piracy market.

    :p

I wish I had a connection capable of downloading 3G a month. As far as I know no-one's planning to offer cable services anywhere but certain areas of Sydney and Melbourne. There's one suburb in Perth that has it. The only broadband option for us DSL which is not cheap. The only options there are Tel$tra and a local company which are good but not cheap.

See this is what i don't get, with broadband you get a 3gb cap, i've beaten that with my dialup service downloading first 4 series of red dwarf last month

I don't see the point of getting broadband for downloading eps of tv programs, i can get the same amount anyway

the 3gb cap is new, it starts next month!

I usually download about 20gb a month so Optus have well an truely screwed me over.

Cable isn't just about how much you can download, it's about speed. I couldn't go back to using dial-up now that I've had cable

that's diff, for actual browsing, speed is all important

for downloading stuff, when i can crack 5gb a month just using a single dialup line, i'm not really that bothered (having friends with dsl and cable helps though :D )

downloading a 450mb mpeg in 45 minutes is pretty good though, how long does it take on a dial up?

Downloading without a break? A couple of days. :(
I just finished downloading an episode I'd missed that was a 180Mb version. I was only downloading overnight but that took the better part of 3 nights. The connection speed was a little slower than usual for that file but it's still painfully slow.

Anyway, it turns out I'd missed 2 episodes since they had Sleeping Dogs on tonight. Another Klingon episode. Highlight of the episode - another steamy quarantine scene. Only this time, T'Pol and Hoshi were in there. :D

    ARCHER
T'Pol, switch to manual hibernation control.

    T'POL
I don't like to assert myself, Captain,
but it would be much better now for
you to rest. You've been involved
    in a very stressful situation.

    ARCHER
I don't feel like resting. Give
    me the control, T'POL.

    T'POL
I can tell from the tone of your
    voice, Captain, that you're upset.
Why don't you take a stress pill
    and get some rest.

    ARCHER
T'Pol, I'm in command of this
ship. I order you to release
    the manual hibernation control.

    T'POL
    I'm sorry, Captain, but in
    accordance with regulation
    C1532/4, quote, When the
    captain is dead or incapacitated,
    the sub-commander must assume
    control, unquote. I must,
    therefore, override your
    authority now since you are
not in any condition to intel-
    ligently exercise it.

    ARCHER
    T'Pol, unless you follow my
    instructions, I shall be forced
    to incapacitate you.

    T'POL
If you do that now without Earth
contact the ship will become a
    helpless derelict.

    ARCHER
I am prepared to do that anyway.

    T'POL
I know that you've had that on
your mind for some time now,
Captain, but it would be a crying
shame, since I am so much
    more capable of carrying out
this mission than you are, and
I have such enthusiasm and confi-
    dence in the mission.

    ARCHER
Listen to me very carefully, T'Pol.
    Unless you immediately release
    the hibernation control and
follow every order I give from
this point on, I will immediately
take you to the med-bay and carry
    out a complete lobotomy.

    T'POL
Look, Captain Archer, you're certainly the
boss. I was only trying to do
what I thought best. I will follow
all your orders: now you have
    manual hibernation control.

    T'POL
    Something seems to have happened
to the life support system , Captain.

    T'POL
Captain Archer, have you found out
    the trouble?

    T'POL
There's been a failure in the
    pod bay doors. Lucky you
    weren't killed.

    T'POL
    Captain, what are you
    doing?

    T'POL
Captain Archer, I have ten years
    of service experience and an
    irreplaceable amount of time
and effort has gone into making
    me

On a slightly off-topic but still ST note: did anyone else know that leonard nimoy (do I need to say Spock?) directed "Three Men and a Baby" ?

    I just found this out.

What a strange world we live in.

because of the scantily clad women, and man (but who's interested in that), at the end?
I swear, that 'decontamination' chamber is nothing but an excuse to attract audiences with sex appeal.
