Entoo Needan E-elz

Has anyone notice the cute play on words that this guy's name has? Say his name really fast and you'll see it. I just realized this myself last night as I was preparing to fall asleep.

 

I dont get it. Is he the dude from VotF?

 

Anthony Daniels...and yes it's from VotF. I thought that was funny when I read it too.

 

You know, Dev Sibwarra here on the boards, told me once he thought that dude represented John Williams and Car'das represented Lucas.

 

And what's even funnier is that Karrde remarks that Entoo's name sounds like a droid designation.

 

How many other funny names there are? I know only this and Jenos Idanian(Han Solo alias in Crispin's books). That one took me even longer to figure out than Entoo Needan E-elz.

Ree Duptom (character from Hard Merchandise) is an anagram of Bantam editor Tom Dupree.

 

I never said anything about John Williams, chissdude. Zahn has said in interviews that Entoo is based on Anthony Daniels. But I have said before that Car'das could represent Lucas.

 

Yep, Entoo Nee is Anthony. I thought it was rather cute.

But now Anthony Daniels has a minor role in AOTC out of the C3P0 suit (he'll be a pilot in a bar). I wonder if that was Entoo Nee? And will the connection be explored in a Tales book?

 

It would be quite interesting if it was Entoo Nee. Yet another EU character being thrown into the mix!

EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, it probably isn't him. Remember, AOTC is 40 years before VOTF, and since Anthony Daniels is playing him, the character will be something close to Daniels' true age (I don't know it exactly, but I'd guess 50's-60's). His character in VOTF implies that he's somewhat young, so I doubt it's him.

 

Jenos Idanian was the name Corran Horn used when he was undercover in I, Jedi.

Han Solo's alias was Vykk Drago.

 

Han also used the Jenos Idanian ID when withdrawing money from the bank on Coruscant.

Only if Entoo Nee is no more than he seems. The coincidence is too much! It must be the same person. Anthony Daniels is a fairly youngish looking 50; if Entoo Nee didn't age any further over the next 50 years, it still works.

 

Daniels plays Lieutenant Faytonni in AotC... TOS says it...
