Nawara last time you organised special premiere tickets, would you be able to look into that again ? Got that cool movie poster ticket out of it too, remember ?

It was easy for me to get 30 midnight tickets in town for Ep II.....

Unfortunately my friend who worked at Greater Union Marion is now living in Sydney. But it's too expensive for her, so I hope she'll be back in Adelaid and at Marion soon, so I hope to scam some midnight tix. But if not, I'll work something out.....

I've gotten in touch with Chris Dzelde at mix 102 fm, as he's a star wars nut like the rest of us, is keen to be in whatever activities. We could possibly get things rolling through their station.....

I had this dream last night that we ended up with 200+ people at the premiere.......

I'm thinking of spreading the word at Uni - there's quite a few 'closet' SW fans there who might be interested in throwing on some Jedi robes and joining us....

 

Wow, what a dream!!! I've got a few friends that I've been encouraging to come along. One of them might, but it depends if he can find some jedi boots, another woman and her son may come along too (in costume of course!). I told the editor of the costumer's guild newsletter about how you are organising this, and she's going to include it in the next newsletter. It goes out Australia wide

Just heard back from Greater Union Marion.

All gold class cinemas are booked out til the 20th for 'corporate people* to see the movie. Won't tell you what I call corporate people!

Also got this:
"If you did want to come on the eve of the 18th, will be having sessions in the senstadium cinemas. You can purchase Adult screen savers for $110.00 each or you can book a small senstadium. The smallest holds 100 people and the cost for hiring would be $1400."

Yup, i'm in for the 100 person cinema.
Now... everybody put their hands up anybody who is interested in coming along and bring 5 friends. See how far we get. I'll contact Chris at MIX 102 and see if we can get some more "freaks" to attend. Shouldn't be too hard to turn it into a party atmosphere. Lets get the ball rolling....

I'm contacting various media outlets to push for exposure in light of us trying to raise money for the McGuiness/McDermott foundation (whom Marcus is contacting, as well as the Advertiser). Booking out cinemas to raise money & dressing up to have fun is the whole point of the exercise.
Also, are looking at holding as SW open day in a central location.

 

Hmm so we gotta find 100 people including ourselves.

I know two in Adelaide who might be interested ... sorry that's the best I can do!

I'll have a talk to my padawan, he might know more in Adelaide.
