Allrighty, it ain't from Lucasfilm, but who else has read this story treatment?
Besides the DR.Doom origin rip-off, I dig it!

 

Yes, I've read it - a long ime ago mind you. I wouldn't be surprised if some elements appear in the real Ep3, such as the volcanic planet and the massive space battle at the end. I found it an interesting read. I may still have it around somewhere.

Oh, like the fake script to Return of the Jedi where Luke captures the Death Star and renames it the 'Life Star'? That, and I remember 'Indiana Jones and the Cave of Death'.

No, this is actually a 20 something page story treatment and reads much like a rough treatment, similar to ANH's first draft. It's online, type 'fall of the republic' into a search engine. Very old, very fake

 

I think 'The Rise of Darkness' would be a cool name for Episode III'
