I`ve noticed that EpI and EpVI are kind of have the same endings.

Ep 1: When Qui Gonn is stabed by Maul Obi Wan runs over to Qui Gonn and helps him. Then Qui Gonn is burned.

EpVI: When Vader saves Luke, Luke runs over to Vader and helps him. Then Vader is burned.

    Did Lucus purposly do this?

All of the comparisons between the trilogies is done quite on purpose.
It is also important to note that the funerals of Jinn and Vader have the exact same music.
Seeing that this is forum is for cross-trilogy discussions I'm going to talk about some connections between some of the various films.

Lucas sees his saga as poetry where the lines rhyme and the stanzas bring back the same themes. A certain repetition.

He based A New Hope on the film 'Hidden Fortress' as well as Joseph Campbell's Hero of a Thousand Faces.
The basic story is that these two heralds arrive (The droids or the Jedi in TPM) and come to summon the hero. At the time this hero is a mere fool (Luke in ANH and Anakin in TPM.) The three of them are confronted with a guide of sorts. In ANH it is Obi-Wan who sets them into peril and great danger. The fool is put into great danger and makes many friends (Han Solo, Chewie etc.) All of the heroes are placed into a great labyrinth of sorts (evident with the Death Star.) The guide is lost in this maze (Obi-Wan) and the hero is left alone to complete his missions. This is the general story of most myths and part of the plot of Hidden Fortress. The same type of story arc is used with Anakin and Luke. Both destroy a great ship of space (Control Ship/ Death Star.) For Luke his destruction of the ship was planned out and for Anakin it was an accident of sorts.

Attack of the Clones and The Empire Strikes Back have the same general plot flow. The heroes begin together then split off on two different adventures. Han and Leia and Anakin and Padme fall in love on their adventures. Luke and Obi-Wan face greater problems. In the end the reunite and face evil. Both end on dismal notes.

In Attack of the Clones, Obi-Wan hides on the asteroid so that he vanishes on the Fett's radar. In TESB, Han pulls the same sort of trick, yet because of Obi-Wan's actions so long ago, Boba Fett knows where Han is.

Then there is the Lars Homestead where Anakin and Luke both set out to face their destinys and both return to the homestead very changed.

We will see many more ties between Return of the Jedi and Revenge of the Sith.

It supposed to parallel one another like so many other instances. There's many more to bring up. Surprised you didn't catch on sooner. We talk about parallels all the time. :)

Yeah, there is a bunch of parallels. In AOTC, Tipoca City is like Cloud City in ESB, both of them real mythical and amazing places. In Attack of the Clones, it's the first time we see a walking combat vehicle. In ESB, it's the same for that trilogy.

TPM and ROTJ also open the same way.

A shuttlecraft approaching a large spaceship/station orbiting a green and lush world.

Then...an interior shot, over-the-shoulder, of two pilots speaking with the spacestation requesting to land.

We would have had the ghost parallel if not for discrepancies between Lucas and Neesom. That makes me very sad inside.

Eh, what's that? Is Liam not appearing in Episode III. Has he fallen out with Lucas?

I imagine he purposely did this. It's fitting because things come full circle.

Liam Neeson has fallen out with Lucas? Why?

No, they don't. Qui-Gon's funeral had a choir piece that was written specifically for that scene, while Vader's funeral had the Force theme.

There are no discrepancies between Neeson and Lucas as far as I know. Neeson loved doing Star Wars and he would definitely return as Qui-Gon if the story demanded it.

The stories of problems between Lucas and Neeson are all just rumour. Contrary to popular opinion, Neeson actually enjoyed his time on TPM. Qui-Gon does not return as a ghost because of any problems, it actually fits in with the story, and how Force Ghosts are created - they are not the spirits of dead Jedi, but they are physical incarnations of Jedi who WILLINGLY joined the Force and faded into it. Anakin is an exception, in that according to GL, his physical identity before he turned to the Dark Side is essentially resurrected in RotJ "because of Obi-Wan and Yoda", so they did it for him, because they learned how. Qui-Gon did not willingly join the Force, because he did not know how - he was killed. Therefore, he could not appear in physical form. How Yoda hears his voice, we'll hopefully find out in RotS. I have my theories on this, relating to Qui-Gon's connection to the living Force, but hopefully all will be revealed soon, as well as the way Obi-Wan and Yoda learn this ability that, as far as we know, no other Jedi in history learned.
