OOC: So you all know, the Jedi Council currently consists of:

Yoda, Yaddle, Oppo Rancisis, Thame Cerulian, Yarael Poof, Saesee Tiin, Sifo-Dyas, Micah Giiett, Thracia Cho-Leem, Plo Koon, Adi Gallia, & Mace Windu.

Without further ado, let us begin.

    Star Wars

    Episode 0: The Dark Ghost

It is a quiet and relatively peaceful time for the Galactic Republic. Things have quieted since the Stark Hyperspace War and Order has been reestablished.

Yet, for the Jedi Order, things are not nearly so peaceful. Though no true threat or danger has lashed out since the small war of two years ago, there were still many small dangers to stop and things to investigate. Political instabilities on distant worlds always in need of mediation.

And a recent outbreak of disturbing events being checked out by the Jedi and a few by Republic Security Forces has made the Jedi Council become lost in the musings.

The Jedi, unsure of what is to come, have failed to notice the existence of the Sith who are not extinct as they had presumed. Always two there are. A Master. And an Apprentice. Darth Plagueis & Darth Spectra. And with them are two acolytes, Dark Jedi followers that were loyal to them and them alone.

And as the Jedi race to figure out what is going on throughout the Galaxy, the Sith secretly stalk in the shadows...unnoticed...

    *************
    Sith Hideout, Korriban:

The torches flickered ominously as a cool breeze filtered into the throne room of the Sith hiding place. One of many, but here was their main and their favorite. It was predominantly made of stone and simple, without need of ornaments or decorations. There were a few hidden here and there, but not much. The Dark Lord of the Sith did not see the need for them, especially when in hiding from the Jedi Order.

The torches hung on pillars that were hither and thither in the semi-large chamber, though two main ones flanking the chair upon some steps was the focus. They flickered again with a rancid breeze creeping in, an eeriness that would have chilled an innocent to the bone.

Upon the throne chair that was also made of stone, sat a tall figure in dark robes, his arms resting casually upon the arm rests. In front of him and not yet upon the steps were three figures kneeling before him, heads bowed down. The one in the middle was slightly further ahead of the two flanking her. She, in relation to the closer distance to the man on the throne compared to the others...was the apprentice.

After a tense silence, the man?s slightly nasally yet commanding voice rang out, echoing softly throughout the dim hall. The three of them did not move until that order came.

?I am glad you all came,? the Dark Lord stated simply, ?It is time we progressed deeper into the heart of things. I know that you?ve had trouble figuring out the covert actions and operations we?ve been conducting in the past year, but as always...you must have faith in what I am telling you to do is all part of a master plan for us to rule and the Jedi to fall. Now, however, I will admit we are in the most important stages. Failures are not to be tolerated as lightly as before...?

Tolerated failures before resulted in such things as being slammed into the walls, shocked, cut up, and made into briefly becoming a gibbering mess...sometimes in front of the others for additional humiliation.

?...so I do not expect you to. Though I will state that I have been pleased with all of your results so far. Especially you, my apprentice.? A pause.

?You may all now rise,? and as soon as they did he motioned with one arm to an approaching rusted droid holding a tray on their side, ?I?ve had you bow down like that in front of me for two hours now, go ahead and have a drink.?

The tray held six glasses, one of which was quietly levitated off the tray and sent floating toward the Dark Lord of the Sith, who grasped it delicately in his long fingers and took a silent sip. His eyes, however, were always on the

    T'ra Saa
    Middle City, Taris

T'ra looked around the area. They were on Taris. Adi Gallia, Siri Tachi, and she had been sent there by the Council to help resolve the conflict there. Due to many skirmishes already having happened, a few gangs have banded together to surge from the Lower City into the Middle City to cause havoc. They were causing the shipments to become late, or missing altogether. The head of the gangs are present in this recent surge and if they were to be captured or eliminated, the Gangs would most likely retreat and halt hostilities the Jedi know. T'ra gave a deep sigh. She hated these kinds of assignments.

Blaster shots and small explosions rocked the large walkway of the current section of the Middle City as the three Jedi sent by the Council arrived on the scene. Their eyes taking the scene quietly. As they stepped out of their speeder and met up with a trench of Taris Security Forces as well as of the Republic enforcers, a head officer strolled up to them.

"Thank god you're here. We're doing...ok...but we definitely need your help with these wackos. These gangs are getting out of c]ontrol! With you we can kill them off and hopefully be done with it!"

"We do not kill unless we have to." replied Adi Gallia calmly. The officer became uncomfortable for a moment. T'ra held her comments. It was unfortunate that so many other beings thought the way this officer did. The Jedi did NOT simply 'kill' folks off. She began to worry if they would be able to work with these officers, without problems arising. She spoke up.

"And though it has come to the coming deaths of some them" spoke T'ra Saa evenly, "we still need to capture and not eliminate the heads of the Gangs. We need information on the shipments we are all tracking."

"Yeah...well...just help us get rid of them. We'll do our best to round up the leaders, but it'll be tough. They'll be the first ones to try to escape if the tide turns." muttered the officer, "and there doesn't seem to be any sort of tactic on the part of the gangs. But I suppose they're just thugs and hustlers after all. What do you expect. So no real need to tell you of their formation. They're just...here, there, and everywhere. Take your pick on a place to start and have at it."

With a sigh he turned and walked off, " I'll be over here talking with some other officers. You can join or just join the fight, either is helpful to us"

Siri Tachi shook her head at the man and looked up at Master Gallia who seemed to just be watching the man's retreating form, contemplating. T'ra Saa stood by the Jedi Council member, also quietly contemplating, leaving the padawan waiting. Master T'ra gazed moved from Master Gallia and Siri.

"Perhaps we should seek our own path?" T'ra Saa spoke softly so that only Master Gallia and Siri could hear her. "These officers seem a bit too ready to shoot first, and ask question later. What are your thoughts, Master Gallia?" she asked gently.

Cin watched the two jedi's sabers weaving through the air he especially he was watching the young Quinlan Vos trying to work out what he needed help with most this week, last week it was his grip. While he was oppening himself up to the force to feel the movments not only in use now but what they were both planning on doing next. He smilled as he noticed a manuverthat Vos had been told by Cin to try from the last training encounter these two had done, he was just glad that the padawaan had listened to someone who was not his master in matters concerning his training.

He looked out the window at the landscape around the temple and watched a flock of birds diving through the sky past the window enjoying the free skys found around the cleared temple grounds and found himself mentally rechecking his agenda for todays lession with the younglings, he was going to teach them the fine arts of form 3, but he also wanted to have them concentrate on breathing exercises which to them would seem repedative and only serve to make sure they are timing everything right but he knew that allowing the air to penertrate there bodies it also gave a parth for the force to teach there muscles how to move.

For the rest of his time he planned to just watch the sparing between master and padawaan, observe and teach as was his way.

    Dueling Chamber, Jedi Temple, Coruscant:

The sabers hissed and crackled with every stroke. Vos was learning very quickly, and had shown great promise as a swordsman. Matter a fact, Vos was a quick learner for as long as he had been Tholme's padawan.

Two green sabers could be seen flashing and whizzing in a marvelous display of skill. The clashing of sabers echoed throughout the dueling chamber as Tholme continued the lesson.

"Try to keep your mind clear, and don't holovid your next move, the force flows through your every thought, your every motion," Tholme stated to his padawan. As Thome could feel the pace of the sparring session quicken.

"Anything to add Master Drallig?" Tholme glanced towards Master Cin Drallig who was overlooking the gardens from a near by window.

    Sex: Male

    Age: 60

    Appearance: [image=http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/7/7f/Mastersdookuandsifo.jpg]

    Affiliation: Jedi

    Rank: Jedi Master

    Weapon(s): Lightsaber (viridian blade)

    Lightsaber Combat Form: Form II

Bio: Dooku was born on the planet Serenno to a wealthy noble family. His parents were stern, but proud of his Force abilities, and willingly surrendered him to the Jedi Order. Unlike most younglings, he was aware of his origins and felt driven to prove himself worthy of them.

By far the swiftest learner in his year, Dooku was particularly apt at telekinesis and combat games such as push-feather. He could easily move objects with the Force by the age of seven, and he won the Twelve-and-Under push-feather tournament at only nine years of age. When Dooku was thirteen, Master Thame Cerulian chose him to become his Padawan learner. Cerulian sat on the Jedi Council, and was renowned as a historian.

Dooku had several friends when he was younger, including fellow youngling Lorian Nod and alien senatorial aide Eero Iridian. However, Lorian Nod was jealous of Dooku being chosen as a Padawan before him. Insecure about his future as a Jedi, Nod stole a Sith holocron from the Jedi Archives, trying to gain an edge over other prospective Padawans. Dooku visited Nod's room to talk his friend into returning the holocron, but the pair were interrupted by Master Oppo Rancisis, who discovered the stolen item. Nod implicated Dooku in the theft, and Dooku was too shocked to contradict him.

Nod later visited Dooku, and asked his friend to cover for him, but Dooku was still angry with Nod and did not give him any assurances. The next day, the two were on opposite sides in an urban tracking exercise and ended up brawling with each other. After Yoda broke up the fight, Dooku and Nod were examined separately before the Jedi Council. Dooku told the truth about the theft of the holocron, and Nod was cast out of the Jedi Order. The pair became bitter enemies. This experience made Dooku wary of friendship and attachment, and he became paranoid about the possibility of betrayal.

Even though he studied under Cerulian, Yoda took a particular interest in the young Dooku and was frequently his adviser and confidant. The Jedi Master, however, was equally quick to point out Dooku's flaws when necessary. He also assisted in Dooku's lightsaber training as a Padawan. Building from this foundation, Dooku became an accomplished duelist with the weapon. In his later years, few Jedi Masters were considered equal to Dooku's skill with a lightsaber. Under Cerulian's tutelage, Dooku became a powerful Jedi. He was the most gifted Padawan Cerulian had ever seen, and Dooku learned much from his Master. As he grew older and continued to develop, Dooku became an outspoken individual who had strong views about the systemic corruption that plagued the Galactic Republic.

Dooku became a Jedi Knight in his early twenties, and immediately took Qui-Gon Jinn as his first Padawan. The pair was quite close in age, with only ten years separating them. During his time as a Jedi Knight, Dooku and his apprentice were assigned to protect Senator Blix Annon from pirates who were kidnapping senators for ransom. On the senator's ship, Dooku met up with his old friend, Eero Iridian, who was now serving as Blix's aide. Pirates attacked the vessel, exploiting weaknesses in the design, and Blix Annon was kidnapped despite the actions of the two Jedi.

During the raid, Dooku recognized one of the pirates as his old friend Lorian Nod and became obsessed with not allowing Nod to win. He neither told his apprentice that he knew the kidnapper nor did he inform the Jedi Council of his failure to protect Senator Annon. Dooku suspected that the security weaknesses and malfunctions on the senator's craft during the battle has been deliberate sabotage, since the craft had recently undergone a security retrofit. He traced the sabotage of the senator's shi

    Master Thame Cerulian

    Council Chambers, Jedi Temple, Coruscant:

Over his years of sitting on the Council, if there was one bit of tradition Master Thame Cerulian appreciated, it was the morning meditation.

He found it an indispensable way of begining each day, especially during times of trouble. Centering oneself in the Force was key to having clarity when dealing with delicate matters of great complexity.

And not to mention after a night of pouring over documents that were only accessible to Masters alone, this was especially necessary during such instances.

And today was no different from any other day.

Though all seemed well and in harmony after the Council's morning meditation, the venerable Jedi Master still sensed a few uneasy ripples in the Force. It wasn't anything he could point out specifically, but it was there.

As was his custom, Thame chose to listen to the opening discussions and interject only when needed. It wouldn't be long before he did so, but in the meantime, he did notice a bit of tension play a small role within the Council Chambers.

First between Grandmaster Yoda and Master Yaddle and then between Master Oppo Rancisis and Master Giiett.

Thame casually stroked his white beard and simply listened, wondering what would be decided concerning Eriadu, when a topic of greater interest to him was addressed.

?We must decide on what to do with Eriadu,? stated Thracia Cho-Leem, ?as well as on the matter of a supposed Sith artifact being discovered on the planet of Moonus Mandel.?

Master Cerulian was far too collected to react outwardly to what he'd just heard, but his interest was peaked.

If there was to be a mission to Moonus Mandel, then he woud do what he could to make sure that he'd be a part of it.

The Miraluka knelt before the dark figure that sat high upon the throne, he was however not as close as the Umbaran was. The Miraluka was knelt on the left hand side just behind the Umbaran, to his right was the Human. The long silence was finally broken as the Dark Lord began to speak.

?I am glad you all came. It is time we progressed deeper into the heart of things. I know that you?ve had trouble figuring out the covert actions and operations we?ve been conducting in the past year, but as always...you must have faith in what I am telling you to do is all part of a master plan for us to rule and the Jedi to fall. He had seen this before, it was something he never wanted to endure.

?You may all now rise, I?ve had you bow down like that in front of me for two hours now, go ahead and have a drink.?

Rising up from the spot where he had been knelt down for the past two hours now was a relief, his legs quickly regained their strength.

Now 'looking' up towards his Master he saw the aura that surrounded him. Powerful indeed. Stepping forward he was now in line with the Umbaran, once more he took another step forward to collect his beverage.

Darsha's blue eyes focused on her master as he spoke. She clutched her cloak close to her as the cold air of the planet made her shiver. Inside of her mind, she was pleased that Master Bondara was so certain of himself. She shared her master's penchant of justice, and they would bring this murderer to justice. Her cheeks were red with cold and her eyes hurt to stay open for much longer. They'd been roaming around in the cold for the longest time and it was taking its toll on her body. However hard it was, she tried to focus and warm herself with the Force.

She turned her head, mostly to keep the stinging snow from hitting her in the face, and her hair flapped behind her like a flag. Darsha's eyes met with Master Sifo-Diyas' for a moment and then to his padawan Shaak Ti. Although Darsha kept it to herself, she was worried too. Her eyes had the same glaze of worry that Shaak Ti's did. The masters may have been worried too, and sensed the worry of everyone else. Darsha met the gaze of Shaak Ti and fell back slightly to stand beside her.

"Hey, it's okay. Really." Darsha tried to reassure the togruta. Darsha was cold, and knew that Shaak Ti was cold too. There was something unspoken about women and their emotions in situations. Out in the middle of a freezing wonderland, they weren't about to ask for directions, but in times of great need or when one was feeling uncertain, women would be there for one another. Darsha put a comforting arm around Shaak Ti and gave her a small smile, followed by a peace sign made with her index and middle fingers. "We'll have to stay warm somehow,"

IC: Jon Antilles; Tirisa City, Zeltros

?Let us proceed,? Dooku said simply. And they did.

Jon acknowledged the order with a slight nod before stalking silently toward the door, dodging frozen livestock carcasses as he went. With his unlit saber in hand, he paused in a flanking position at the side of the simple door, watching Dooku and his Padawan follow, and waiting for the others to get in position.

Dooku had been rather... disapproving of Jon's free-wheeling style from the beginning of their brief partnership, and had made no secret of it. In fact, he'd been about as cold as a Jedi Master was allowed to be. It didn't help when it came to light that on the same night that young Komari had resisted the rather direct advances of a local boy, Jon had spent the night with a pair of highly attractive (and very enthusiastic) Zeltron females. Jon didn't see any problem with it. Where is it written, after all, that Jedi had to be celibate? But Dooku took a rather dim view of Jon's preferred method of stress-relief. Oh well, prudes will be prudes.

With Dooku and Komari in position, Jon turned toward the door, and opened himself to the Force. He fed upon the emotions of this place to fuel his power. Lust, joy, anger, hate; the whole range flooded his senses, and the Force swirled around him, an invisible tempest, waiting to be unleashed. Jon thrust his hand forward, and the tempest surged, slamming the door off its hinges and into the room beyond. Not waiting for the assassin to react, Jon leapt into the room, lightsaber casting an eerie green glow, followed closely by Dooku and Komari...

    Od Revus, Sith Acolyte
    Sith Hideout, Korriban

Kneeling is quite possibly the ultimate sign of willing submission. A sign of weakness, one should know, and Od Revus was certainly endowed with enough knowledge to understand that his master was much more powerful in the ways of the Dark Side than he was. The young human, whose eyes had remained closed in reflective meditation throughout the arduous twin hours, regained awareness of his physical surroundings when his master?s nasally voice snapped him to such attention.

?I am glad you all came,? Od doubted this, but remained silent, as usual. ?It is time we progressed deeper into the heart of things. I know that you?ve had trouble figuring out the covert actions and operations we?ve been conducting in the past year, but as always...you must have faith in what I am telling you to do is all part of a master plan for us to rule and the Jedi to fall. Now, however, I will admit we are in the most important stages. Failures are not to be tolerated as lightly as before, so I do not expect you to.?

Tolerance was not exactly how young Revus would describe the treatment that came as consequence to their previous failures, so failure now would bring indescribable pain, and likely death. There are worse things, but, in all honesty, Od had endured them before, and the Dark Lord would not be able to brandish such tortures. Not now, anyway.

?Though I will state that I have been pleased with all of your results so far. Especially you, my apprentice.? Once again, Spectra received special recognition. ?You may all now rise. I?ve had you bow down like that in front of me for two hours now, go ahead and have a drink.?

Od paid no heed to the droid, which bore the tray of drinks. His eyes fell first on Plagueis, who already had one of the glasses balanced precariously between his fingers. He was sincere, the Acolyte hoped, about allowing them to stand, so Od Revus rose slowly. As he gained his footing, a droplet of sweat fell from his nose to the cold stone floor, where it shattered into even tinier droplets. He was not sure if this perspired liquid had been the product of his fear or being tucked into such a tight position for so long, but he tried to appear less attentive to it than he actually was.

Finally, he caught Azrael Naaman in his peripherals. His fellow Acolyte did not seem to be rushing in to collect a glass. It is true, deceptiveness is what Sith are notorious for, so the drinks could very well be poisoned. But why would he wish to poison us at this stage? Od lifted a hand, not bothering to step forward as the Miraluka had. With hardly a thought, the glass nearest him lifted from the tray and drifted towards him.

Soon he grasped the object in his hand, scrutinizing the contents inconspicuously with naught but two naked eyes. Nothing seemed amiss, but he would wait until one of the others had tasted before he savored it himself.

    IC as Siri Tachi

Siri Tachi quickly looked at the surroundings about not just herself, but her master Adi Gallia and T'ra Saa. From the look of this place, the Middle City of Taris they called it, it didn't seem like a bad place to be...except for the occasional rocking from explosions and gun fire being shot off. And that was what worried her slightly, but she quickly pushed that thought aside and reminded herself that both her master and another Jedi master were always at her side. If she couldn't handle anything, they would be sure to protect her.

As she stepped off the speeder, the three women were met by the Taris Security and what appeared to be their head officer. This was where she stayed quiet and took in the interaction due to follow.

?Thank god you?re here. We?re doing...ok...but we definitely need your help with these wackos. These gangs are getting out of control! With you we can kill them off and hopefully be done with it!?

?We do not kill unless we have to,?

Siri stared off after the head officer and offered a small shake of her head. Her blue eyes then darted to her master to see her reaction and if her thoughts would show themselves across her face. As usual, she just seemed deep in thought.

She sighed out of slight irritation. Her focus hadn't been all there, even during the briefing, she would notice it fading while she tried to listen intently. Of course, this was what Master Gallia was helping her improve on, and T'ra Saa had been helping as well while working with her on the mission. One day when she would be a Jedi Knight, she wouldn't have to worry about losing concentration and focus. Only a brief mental smile crossed through her mind as she thought about it, trying to picture herself garbed in the traditional Jedi Knight robe, strolling down the corridors of the Jedi Temple with its warm material billowing and fluttering in her wake.

The still young Padawan shook her head to clear her focus...again. One day I'll get it right, she mused to herself, giving a mental nod in agreement with it. And thank the Force, T'ra Saa spoke to get her thoughts focused entirely once again.

"Perhaps we should seek our own path? These officers seem a bit too ready to shoot first, and ask question later. What are your thoughts, Master Gallia?"

Siri looked to her master while sweeping a blonde strand out of her face and behind her ear, awaiting her to voice her thoughts on the matter.

Confidence in his abilities were gained each and every day, especially since the closure of the Stark Hyperspace War, a war in which Vos found himself directly involved alongside Master Tholme. During the time of the short lived war, Vos learned from the great teacher that is experience. Using the skills he developed in the same Temple he was in today, he was able to put those talents to use in real galactic situations. Now it was time to put past accomplishments behind him and continue into the future, perfecting the technique of lightsaber combat which he had been learning since he came under Tholme's tutalege. Since the last time he had worked with Master Cin Drallig last week, he could feel the difference in the way he held his weapon. The improvments on his grip helped increase the speed and power of the saber strokes he performed dueling Tholme.

This match was for the more traditional style of dueling. It served a great purpose as Vos had to be disciplined enough to not use his natural style of Ataru but to focus more on Shii-Cho. His training for ataru was scheduled for a later time in the day, now it was pure saber handling techniques and the basics which was the foundation for everything.

Try to keep your mind clear, and don't holovid your next move, the force flows through your every thought, your every motion," Tholme stated to his padawan. As Thome could feel the pace of the sparring session quicken.

Vos did as his Master instructed, opening up his own mind to the power of the force and letting it control his body and actions. The training for the teenaged padawan leaner continued as Tholme gave more advice to the almost exhausted Vos. Master Tholme effortlessly pointed out the mistakes Vos was making and tell him what he needed to work on, in the middle of the duel at that. He showed Vos his superior conditioning, something that the young Vos was on his way to achieving but still not there yet. Quinlan continued going on the offensive against his Master, attacking and attacking again. With each strike he took he focused on achieving the proper technique. By performing the correct technique over and over again, Vos would gain the muslce memory to correctly duel without ever thinking about it. Vos was comming closer and closer to his limits, he tried to hid it from his Master but it wasn't easy. Today Vos wanted to see how far he could go past his limits and achieve a greater level of conditioning but he hoped his Master wouldn't call the duel but the exhaustion in Quinlan's eyes were easy to detect.

OOC: Great turnout for the beginning, everyone. Thank you! :D

I shall be NPCing Adi Gallia, Anoon Bondara, & Shaak Ti until someone takes them for their own. If anyone does. If anyone is willing or you know someone who would be, just have yourself/them PM me about it. :)

I shall also be temporarily controlling Darth Spectra due to NickLitYouAFlame being on a vacation trip.

    Adi Gallia IC:
    Location ~Middle City, Taris

Master Gallia, Jedi Council Member and Master to the young Siri Tachi, stood her ground after the security officer left, contemplating on the whole situation. It disturbed her, but did not surprise, how the man acted. It was, unfortunately, a wide spread feeling among such people to want to react in such a fashion. But there had to be another way.

It was true what T?ra had said...there would be some deaths, but if there was a way to minimize it and to capture at least one of the Gang leaders, it had to be done.

"Perhaps we should seek our own path?" "These officers seem a bit too ready to shoot first, and ask question later. What are your thoughts, Master Gallia??

Adi side glanced her padawan, seeing you Tachi waiting upon her decision and noticed her gently shaking her head. The poor girl was having trouble focusing, but it was understandable. One?s first missions had a tendency of doing that. As well as dreams...She would help her on that.

?I agree,? she replied to Master Saa, ?There must be a path of our own.? A pause. ?As he said, I sense there not to be any specific tactics among the gangs. I think it would be best if...?

She glanced at the Neti Jedi Master. ?It escapes my memory, but do you have the ability of Battle Meditation? If so, perhaps you could utilize it to turn the tide and accomplish most of our goal swiftly. Needless to say, time is of the essence. I will take Siri and find another route into the battle and try to head straight for a leader.

?When the battle is imminent by way of victory, you may join the conflict if you wish. If you did not have Battle Meditation...then perhaps Siri and I will enter the fray while you cloak yourself and sneak upon one of the leaders. Perhaps when one is captive, the others will halt the fight much sooner.?

She turned to T?ra, ?What do you think?? And a small glance toward her padawan, ?How are you fairing, Siri? You seem distracted again.?

    Location ~Sith Hideout, Korriban

Spectra quietly rose while listening to Lord Plagueis. Yes, the events of the past year were hard to figure out, but she had faith in her master. He was wise and powerful, if the Dark Lord of the Sith did not know what he was doing...they were lost. But he knew. She could feel it all the way to the core of her being.

The Umbaran glanced at the glasses on the tray brought forth by the old droid. Six...there were six. And only four of them. Something was amiss quite obviously. Why would he try to poison them now? Hm...there had to be a reason.

A test, she thought. The life of a Sith is an eternal trial.

She glanced at her master who was watching her and the Dark Jedi quietly, sipping one of the glasses he just levitated over to himself. Well, that was one less glass to not worry about.

Plagueis betrayed nothing in his expressions. He never did. A smile was there, but not of what was obviously going on. But a simple social one. One of the things she liked being an umbaran. The ability to switch your personality, an easy manipulative tool. She respected it highly.

She approached the tray after Azrael and Od. Both cautious, young Revus being more so it seemed to her. Smart on their part. Finally, Lady Spectra approached the tray. Only three glasses remained.

After a quiet thoughtful pause, she selected the one to the right and sipped it without hesitation...nothing happened. A correct guess.

?Very good,? Plagueis praised the three of them, ?All of us got clean drinks. The remaining tw

Adi side glanced her padawan, seeing young Tachi waiting upon her decision and noticed her gently shaking her head. T'ra waited silently, understanding the issues that must be going through Adi's mind at the moment.

?I agree,? Gallia replied to Master Saa, ?There must be a path of our own.? She paused for a moment. ?As he said, I sense there not to be any specific tactics among the gangs. I think it would be best if...?

T'ra paused for a moment, before she began to answer. "I do not have the disipline you have stated, but I doubt it would work in this case. IF the officers were not present, I would have one I could try, but it will not be effective while others are trying to shoot at them." T'ra put a finger to her lips.

"Capturing a leader would be efficient, but will be difficult to locate. Even thought I can sense their thoughts, and feelings, finding a 'leader' in this frey might be difficult. But when do locate one, I am sure I can persuade him to listen to us..or at least to get his troups to stop attacking." T'ra frowned. "I dont think these attacks are as random as security thinks it to be. I think they do have a tactic. Perhaps if we discover it, we can find the leaders, and end this quickly before any more blood is spilled."

T'ra Saa then began to look around the area they were located. Something had to be drawing them to this location. She reached out with the Force, using her abilities to see if she could touch the other mentally, and find out what it was they were after.

The Iktotchi was caught off guard by the mentioning of the discovery of an alleged Sith artifact. "If a mission is sent to Moonus Mandel I would like to head it. If the claim is valid we should get our hands on it as soon as possible. I do hope that this apparent surge in the dark side has reached even your senses." he said looking to Master Yoda. "If it is a resurgence of the Sith the last thing we need is for them to get a hold on any of their old playthings." Saesee said looking around to the others. "Things are also getting a bit more hectic in space, there have been reports of increased pirate activity in the expansion regions. We will need someone with good piloting and space combat skills if we are to mount a mission." he added returning his gaze to Yoda.

    IC: Jedi Master Cos Palpatine
    ~Saalvis - Bimmisaari~

Cos Palpatine watched silently as his apprentice readied himself. All the Jedi Master did for preparation was make sure he had his lightsaber in hand and that the Force was willing to supply anything they needed to complete this assignment. Cos would like to keep the loss of life to a minimum, but he knew that these men would not go down willingly. He also knew that this would not be a walk in the park, either. These men - and possibly women - were highly skilled smugglers, having evaded Republic detection for many months. It was only when Cos and Khameir came in that they had been tracked down.

The Jedi Master hoped everything would go smoothly. There were many variations of this drug - more than twenty known variations - and Palpatine wanted to make sure that they recovered every last bit of spice that had been smuggled. He held a strong stance against spice, having seen the effects of the mind altering drug many years back on a mission when he was apprenticed to Master Yoda. It is quite the dangerous drug, and when it falls into the wrong hands, like these smugglers, the drug could be distributed to countless beings. Cos was not going to let that happen, no matter what the cost.

"Let's go, Khameir," Palpatine said softly. The Jedi Master took a deep breath and and kicked the door down with a little aid from the Force. He wanted to show that the Jedi meant business, and that these men were in serious trouble. "On behalf of the Galactic Republic, you are all under arrest for the illegal movement of spice. Surrender, and no one will be hurt." Palpating held his lightsaber out, the deep blue saber sharply contrasting the slightly darkened warehouse. Looking around, Palpating noticed all of the fifteen beings that Khameir had mentioned, showing the young zabraks skills. Hopefully his padawans skills would be up to the challenge of defending himself against all fifteen of them while, at the same time, aiming to disarm, not to kill.

Azrael watched as Od Revus and lady Spectra collected there own drinks. Lifting the glass up towards his lips, he rested the rim of the glass on his lower lip before taking a sip for himself.

    Clean.

He was the first to have taken the plunge it seemed, if something was amiss surely he would of sensed it. He then returned his view back towards the Dark Lord ?Very good, all of us got clean drinks. The remaining two were poison.?

Of course. The life of a Sith is a content trial, there was no time for mistakes or second chances.

It didn't take him long to drain the liquid from the glass. It wasn't the most delightful drink he had tasted but it was something.

?What are our tasks, Master?? Said Spectra as her voice rang across the Chamber.

Sending the Glass back towards the droid, he straightened himself up to take better notice for his Master's first order.

    IC: Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas
    Location: Citadel Ruins, Rhen Var

The human jedi master felt the persistent exposure to the cold weather would trouble young Shaak, and it most certainly had, but she found comfort in the company of her friend and fellow padawan Darsha Assant, he later noticed. He remembered enduring such awful environments as a padawan himself, but not without the aid of his friend Jard Dooku, and the two had traveled together quiet frequently as padawans.

Sifo-Dyas followed Anoon Bondara down the steps, that subsequently led them off to a two-way split in the citadel. The splits were in the form of pathways, each carefully and precisely elevated rock tilings that remained above the snowfall to make sure its clarity would not be disturbed. A wrong journey could lead them to a dangerous fall off the mountainous region the citadel was based upon, which would gradually get more difficult as the dark approached them.

?This is a two-way path,? he stated, feeling like a fool for doing so. Had they been alone, Shaak would've probably made a witty remark about how obvious it was to her.

?This means that in order to continue, we must divide,? he continued.

?Divide? Master you can't honestly suggest that we split up in a dangerous situation like this,? the young Togruta spoke up.

Sifo-Dyas took no offense at his padawan, but was eager to correct her misspeaking.

?We know the force is guiding us here, and any delayed efforts to investigate these ruins would be costly. You must remember that the threat we face when we split up will likely be a lesser fate then if we allow ourselves to be victims of Rhen Var's nocturnal blizzards. Just trust me on this one, padawan.?

?And if we get ambushed,? he looked at the grim possibilities as he spoke, ?we use the force to alert the other group promptly.?

    Od Revus, Sith Acolyte
    Sith Hideout, Korriban

The silent moments that followed were seemingly even more brutal than the hours spent kneeling. Od Revus spent it heeding the actions of his fellow Sith, who also seemed to be suffering the suffocating quiet that encompassed the chamber. Spectra soon followed Azrael Naaman to the tray, where they both selected glasses. The Acolyte was the first to take a sip. There were no immediate apparent consequences.

Lady Spectra had no sooner picked up her own glass when she tipped it to her lips, leaving the remaining two to brood. Nothing happened. Perhaps there was no poison after all. Still, a suspicion lingered in the pits of Revus? mind.

?Very good. All of us got clean drinks. The remaining two were poison. Are you wondering why I would do such a thing, young Revus??

Reassured by his master?s initial statement, Od finally took a large gulp of the beverage. It felt cool running down the wasteland that his gullet had become. Taking only a second to ponder Plagueis? question, the answer came coolly from the human?s lips.

?Master, there is a ?why?? to every fact that decides to rear its ugly face in the universe. I need not ask, for your intentions put peace to any inquiries that I might have towards your methods."

Plagueis seemed not to mind the young Acolyte?s reply, and continued on with his own explanation, ?Because I need to test you, always. The moment you make a mistake is the moment you?re useless to me and the Sith as a whole. To be a Sith is to be forever amid a trial. And at the stage we are at, I can hardly afford one who cannot guess a correct drink.?

Od Revus nodded his head in understanding and took another drink, noting the Dark Lord?s pleased leer. The life of any being, really, is more than any mere trial. To truly succeed at existence, one must prevail in many areas. Still, the Sith did seem to have more obstacles to overcome than most.

Another long silence ensued as the four sentients emptied their cups. The liquid refreshed Od, regenerating the energy that had been sapped from him in the confines of this dim hall. Darth Spectra was the first to finish, and also the first to break the peace.

?What are our tasks, Master?? The question had surely been rotting away in each of their minds. It certainly had in Od?s.

The red headed Sith finished off his own glass, sending it the way of the tray that the rickety old droid bore, where Spectra?s own glass already resided. It sat noiselessly on the serving dish, and Od Revus almost simultaneously turned to the Dark Lord of the Sith, waiting patiently for a response.

It surprised him that he was even bothering with such an assignment, and he was certain Depa felt the same way. It wasn't their style, better yet, not their job to guard the treasures of politicians. Then why am I here?

Depa shivered next to him, and he glanced away from his monitor for a moment. She smiled as warmly as she could, and Mace returned the expression. He wanted to speak to her about the upcoming trials, but didn't dare blow their cover. Instead, the Jedi Master smiled again, looking back to the screen.

    Still nothing.

It was going to be a long night.

"If a mission is sent to Moonus Mandel I would like to head it. If the claim is valid we should get our hands on it as soon as possible. I do hope that this apparent surge in the dark side has reached even your senses."

"Aye." Thame said almost reflexively from his place within the council chambers as he listened to the Iktotchi, Jedi Master Seasee Tiin speak. He patiently waited for an opportunity in the conversation to interject with his own considerations.

"If it is a resurgence of the Sith the last thing we need is for them to get a hold on any of their old playthings." Saesee said looking around to the others, and it was likely that the Iktotchi noticed Thame nodding slowly in agreement as he gazed at him evenly.

"Things are also getting a bit more hectic in space, there have been reports of increased pirate activity in the expansion regions. We will need someone with good piloting and space combat skills if we are to mount a mission." he added returning his gaze to Yoda.

In the brief pause that followed Thame smoothly let his voice carry within the chamber.

"Although my expertise has not been in piloting for many years now..." Thame began to say, giving a small ironic chuckle as he made reference to his apparent age. "....I have long studied Sith Lore, a fact known to many of you already. If there is to be a mission to Moonus Mandel, I am more than willing to lend my existing knowledge towards this endeavor and its consequent success."

Thame nodded curtly to his audience and returned to gently stroking his long-ish white beard with his fingers.

He had no doubts that the Council would agree on deploying a mission to Moonus Mandel. He just hoped that an advanced an experienced team was selected. Dealing with the Sith and the Darkside was no task for novices and amateurs in the ways of the Force.
