^ I would do that, except that it would interrupt the progression from Yoda's news to Obi-Wan putting him on the road to recovery, to Sidious' news to Vader dooming him, to Padme's funeral. Maybe the reason Lucas deleted the Dagobah scene from the film is it interrupts something involving the major characters no matter where you place it.

Just a minor tweak. Time ripples from a backstory appearing in my ongoing AOTC rewrite, "Episode 2.1," have reached here, prompting me to add the word "again" to the line Padme says to Bail, "At last, we're doing something worthwhile."
