Peter Jackson would be coming off of The Hobbit trilogy and is slated to direct the next Tintin. Can't see him tackling 7, especially when his work on the Hobbit will not wrap until 2014. Also, I really want the second Tintin and don't want it delayed further due to Jackson working on Star Wars.

I actually hope it won't be one of these "famous directors".
I'd prefer a director (perhaps unknown) who really understands the style of Star Wars. Someone who continues Star Wars instead of making a movie just with the name of Star Wars attached to it. I mean, there was a reason why Lucas picked Irvin Kershner in 1980. Kershner worked on documentaries before and Lucas was always approaching Star Wars from a documentary point of view.

Of the people on my list, the only ones I could realistically see getting the job are Kasdan, Spielberg, or Emmerich. I just put Whedon, Cameron, and Jackson on there because they are people whom I would love to see direct the film(s).
