*Episode II and the Expanded Universe *

Ok kids. Since this is the only forum where any Episode 2/3 spoilers can exist in any form, those who wish to discuss spoiler related topics involving the Expanded Universe need to do so here.

This is where one can speculate freely and discuss the Expanded Universe (books, games, comics and RPG) in relation with Episodes II and III of the Star Wars Saga.

This thread is not the place to discuss whether or not EU is canon. If you wish to do so, do it in a thread called Canon: The Last Word.

This topic will be heavily moderated and no trolling or flaming will be tolerated. Basically, if you're not into EU. you really have no reason to be here.

Nah, I just thought creating a thread like this would put a stop to EU/Canon/Movie debates. I proposed it (and it's been doen before), but Sturm and PadmeBra ran with it.

I think it'll work.

Has master Yoda ever faced The Emperor in any of the EU novels?

Why can't we have a faceoff of good/evil Jedi power with these characters in E2 or E3?

- Boba in Episode III should be okay if it happens. His early years are still not documented as a teenager.

- As far as I know, Yoda and Palps have never faced eachother in battle, but they are in Palpatine's office together, aren't they? That's interesting. Palpatine's ROTJ novelization dialogue about Yoda seems cooler now...

Interestingly enough Vader's ROTJ Novelization dialog seemed to give the impression that he'd NEVER met Yoda before. I wonder how this will be explained, or if it will simply be exicsed from future publishings.

 

Possibly if you look at it from the "point of view" that he was never TRAINED by Yoda it would work. Other than that...books canon until the movie says it's not.

Lemme dig up what Palpatine says about Yoda and I'll post it here...Could be we need to fudge some stuff to make it fit, like the stuff about Anakin and Yoda.
