Even if you are on page 48, I will find you. This is where all discussion about Boba Fett being Jaster Mereel needs to go.

Here are a couple of other references within the prequels to the EU that were (probably accidentally) omitted from that earlier list:

    Episode I:

    • Tund (L. Neil Smith's Lando Calrissian novels)
    • New Cov (Zahn novels; actually written by Lucas into earlier drafts of the screenplay, but omitted from the final cut of the film)

The authors of the audio drama probably made it up, but the concept was first seen there.

Also, before I forget, here's another possible EU influence upon the new films:

    Episode II:

    • Kamino (the design seems to be at least partially influenced by the cities of the planet Aquaris, seen in Archie Goodwin and Al Williamson's run on the daily Star Wars newspaper strip)

Let's not forget in Episode II:

    The Glee Enclave
    Senator Simon Greyshade
    The Vorzyd Sector

    New Cov?
Where was that mentioned in the prequels?

New Cov was included by Lucas in the earlier script drafts, with one of the Podrace participant's homeworlds to have been referred to as this in the on-screen dialogue, but it wasn't included in the revised drafts.

The Episode I Insider's Guide CD-ROM has more info on this scene, if you're interested.

Here's another missed item from the "EU in the movies" list:

ROTJ SE: The Yuzzem singer in Jabba's band (The Yuzzem come from Alan Dean Foster's excellent novel, Splinter of the Mind's Eye.)

Nope different species. The YuzzUm come from Mimban, the YuzzEm (the species seen in RotJ SE) come from Endor.

I'm going to have to catch up in the things I missed in this thread. :)

Looking at the TOS article on the DK books, I can faintly see "Mandalorian" under Jango's description, which would imply that this is an important part of his background...enough to actually consider him a full-bred "Mandalorian warrior".

    And now Holocrons...

Slap my face and call me Bob...I never would've expected us Completists to get so much in this movie.

You do realize that the Mandalorean and holocron stuff is not confirmed to be in the actual film. Until it is, it's just EU to EU. A lateral move at best.

If it's on the set, or within script/plot notes for characters ( like databank stuff under "Movies" ), I consider it to move on from "EU" to "movie".

Now, that may not be the case with these things ( 98% positive with "Mandalorian" ) but that doesn't diminish the impact that of these things being done, and it does show that someone is conciously bridging things closer with the EU.

This fell to page 10? [face_shocked]

Hopefully this will help some of the new members understand at least what the consensus is at this site in terms of canon and EU.

What, that this thread gets brought up whenever there's an EU/movie connection?

"Palpatine doesn't know he is Sidious."

I thought this was something of an interesting point of discussion.
