I thought it was funny how they all looked like Capt. Typho, lol.

Yeah I meant the clonetrooper in suits, not the lunch scene. :)

Hey, just a question for those who bought the EP2 video - what are the deleted scenes included on the vhs? Just wondering if they are different to the dvd.

Sorry Ms Rabbit, but I haven't got around to buying either yet. :(

The scene with the Clone Troopers are collecting their helmets from the central "bagge collect" conveyor belt is also totally CGI. :)

Noticed this when I watched the movie again, they added back a cut scene after Anakin told Padmé about his slaughtering, I'm sure that bit wasn't in the movie. Why did they add it in the DVD version? It wasn't that necessary imo.

yeah, that bit wasn't in the theatrical release, I think I read somewhere they put it in because it kind of softened Anakin a bit, no so darkside I guess...

they've added in a few new shots, like the holding hands in the wedding (padme' didn't hold his metal hand but now she does), and some other shots in the speeder chase sequence. I've found the 'Millenium Falcons' on Naboo, and the Shaak in the clone war, but I haven't found the x-wing/tie fighters in Coruscant, or the shaak in the asteroids..

I paused many times to try and find the X-wing and TIE fighter in the chase sequense and gave up after a while. Maybe I could have spotted them on the big screen but alas my TV is too small. :(

Where's the shaak in the clone war? :D

Someon in the Usenet Star Wars newsgroups says you should turn on the commentary and you are told the X-wing, etc. is "now". Here's the original message ...
If you DON'T HAVE a DVD player with a zoom feature it will be nearly
impossible to see, and I mean that. Well, it depends on the size of your TV
as well. I only have a 20" TV. Anyway, listen to the Audio Commentary track
and when John Knoll says "right here" or "right there", well that's when it
happens. What i have done is I zoomed in to 3x with my DVD player on the
very lower left corner of the image, and played those 3 seconds over and
over on "A-B Repeat". You will see the X-Wing first come from the BOTTOM of
the screen and then 3 Tie Fighters will be following it. It's only on screen
for like a second. I know right before it happens you will see Zam Wessel
start to go straight down towards the city. But like I said earlier, listen
to the audio commentary, John Knoll will tell you when it is.

    :)

I paused right when John Knoll said "Right-- here," then zoomed in to 4x for a gazillion times but still couldn't find it. :(

Another hint from TheForce.Net via the newsgroups ...
Pause the movie at Title 1, Chapter 7, 2:38 (Minutes:Seconds) and you can see them in the trench (overhead view) at the bottom left of the screen.

    :)

Grilled-Sarlacc posted a screen capture with the x-wing and tie fighters circled. They are so small on my 21" tv, they just look like specs, but I'll take John Knolls word for it.

I'll see if I can find the thread.

    Here's another picture (~270k) of the X-wing.

And some more info on how to find them ...
They will be on-screen starting at 16:57 and ending at 16:59. They are at
the very left bottom corner of the screen. You'll see an orange trench. One
hint is that at 16:57 they are actually off-screen and will enter the frame
at 16:57 so at least that's a help. The X-Wing is almost impossible to make
out, even when zoomed in. The tie-fighters are much easier to see. I am
going to try to take a digital picture of the TV and upload it to one of my
websites so you can see. The quality won't be great, but hopefully it will
be good enough. One more thing, like I said in an earlier post, if you don't
zoom in, there's no way you're gonna see it (IN MY OPINION), it just happens
    too fast.

Also, I did find the 2 Millennium Falcons, that was an easy one. As the taxi
car (I think that's what it is) descends on Naboo, you can see them on the
left side of the screen on the "top deck" for at least 3 seconds.

    :)

    Re: Episode II Censor Rating.

    Even more mysterious ...
    • The DVD is rated: "M - Suitable for Mature Audiences 16 Years and over. Adult themes."
    • The video is rated: "PG - Parental Guidance Recommended for Younger Viewers. Note: Contains medium level violence."
Hmmmm ... must be something in the DVD's extras that needs a higher rating. ;)

Ooh, I know what it is! :D Has to be Ewan's foul mouth! 8-} He said "****" in one of the web-documentaries I think, although they did beep part of it out. :D

    Either him or Nick Gillard...

If it was that, you'd think it would say 'contains course language' instead of 'contains adult themes'. Truly weird.
The s-word isn't considered PG, unless it's used repeatedly.

What kind of DVD player do you have, Damolay? Are you playing it through a playstation 2, DVD-Rom, or a proper DVD player?

The easiest way, I've found, is to find out how to change titles on your player, then go to 'title 15' which is the blooper reel. I've seen this done using the ps2, interactual player, and on my own philips DVD player.

    I haven't go a DVD player of any kind :( , so I can't try it, but here's what I found ...
    Blooper Reel
From the Main Menu access the Options Menu. Once there type in 1 1 3 8 on your remote. This will reveal a short 10 clip blooper reel of some funny stuff that happened during shooting...guys falling off things, tripping during lightsaber battles, and a bunch more.

(Note: on my DVD player I actually had to press 1 then ENTER, 1 then ENTER, 3 then ENTER, and 8 then ENTER! Have fun!)

There's also this Eaaster Egg ...
    Inside Dexter's Kitchen
Put in the Disc 2 into your DVD player. Proceed to "Dex's Kitchen and Still Galleries". Once on the Main Menu there press "To Dex's Kitchen". Once there you will see a poster behind Dex. Move your cursor around until you highlight it, then select it. You will reveal some humorous posters that college students used to advertise there.

    :)

On the EP1 dvd, there are menus that, if you don't pick something, a character comes in the menu and tells you to hurry up etc (Darth Sidious and Watto). Is there anything like that on the AOTC dvd? I think I remember reading about it somewhere, but I haven't found anything yet.

It's on Disk 2 .. the Sidious one is on the TV spots menu, with the Neimoidians. You have to wait quite a while .. probably two minutes. His hologram appears in the middle and says 'we must accelerate our plans'.

Watoo is on the animatics menu, with the three pit droids. He says something in huttese, subtitled as 'hey offworlder, pick something or get out' or something like that, lol.
