Long time reader, first time poster.

After reading the Episode II Toys were on sale on Saturday evening, I just came back from a 4 store trek of TRU today (Sunday).

I went to Vic. Terrace, Cederbrae, Steeles (near Centrepoint) and Markville. Of the 4, the only place that sold Nikto, Jar Jar and Saesee Tiin was the one in Markville for those who want to know.

BTW, anyone see an Anakin Hanger Duel in their journeys yet?

Here in GTA land, things have been okay, but not great. Was out Sunday, got Kit, umbulle oggolee (female Jedi with longs tentacles on head) Plo Kloon and Red Clonetrooper. No sign of the more obscure figs, which is a pisser, cause it's the weird Jedi I really want.

The Bounty Hunter Pursuit Lego made up for it, it was cool.

C'mon Zellers, daddy needs some bizarro Jeeadi.

I have the bounty hunter chase Lego also, and I looove it. I'm going to visit my parents this weekend so I'm hoping my mom will be in a generous mood considering they're moving far away! She's bought me some avail only in the US stuff already. (Now you REALLY know who I am!)

talking about is Shaak Ti. Luminara Unduli
will not be available in Canada until May but maybe we will get lucky tomorrow.
I wonder if the Snowspeeder and Tie bomber will make it to Canada.

Chris there are currently 20 figures available but that could change tomorrow.
I am missing the red clonetrooper as well.

The Deluxe figures should be out by Friday
if not tomorrow.

 

Tragic and I checked out a Walmart (zippo) and a Toys R Us (some stuff) but there was no red clone trooper out here either.

 

I won't be in any stores for awhile. I don't want to see things on shelves and be tempted to purchase...

It'll be okay..it's only one action figure...Not like last time...argh, if it was last time, I would have bought all the figures, sebulba's podracer, and more...sigh.

Are we only getting the electronic lightsabres or will they have the basic ones? I want one that can retract completely.

 

yea there are lightsabers that go in all the way, but the plastic is weaker

Excellent. I don't mind weak plastic, I'm not bashing people with it - that's what the hypersaber is for. I saw a whole bunch of the electronic ones at Walmart for weeks already, but not the regular ones. I should have checked TRU as well (and it was in the same mall! I'd forgotten that it was there)

 

The regular ones seem to be delayed but you never know they might turn up tomorrow. I will post and let you know if I find them.
I am taking the day off to continue my shopping from Saturday...

 

Are stores that sold epII toys ealry still gonna have midnight madness tonight? i wouldnt think so, but maybe they will, just to release more stuff.....hopefully JEDI DEX;s!!

I guess I should have posted this earlier but TRU Canada will have no midnight madness in any store. I e-mailed the Canadian TRU HQ and asked.

If I remember correctly, the ONLY store in GTA that did Midnight Madness for EP1 was the Zellers at Cederbrae.

 

Well I just got back from hitting a few Wal Marts and Zellers stores. Toys R Us opens at
9:30. There was nothing new at all. I picked
up a red clone trooper and a bunch of extra
figures to keep in their packages about 10 figures in total. I also picked up the 2 speeders and that was it. I went to 3 Zellers stores and they had nothing at all, very sad situation indeed. I am going to check out the 2 Wal Marts out here and report back.

As for other merchandising:
Tracy and I found the Doritos with AotC packaging on the weekend, had a bag of Zesty Doritos with Mace Windu and Jango. Does anyone know if the cereal will be up here in Canada?

The soundtack calls to me - especially for the long drive down to CII - but I've been forbidden to purchase anything over the next couple weeks.

 

With respect to the cereal, my parents live in NY state; my mom told me on the weekend that she'd bought some already, so I don't know if it's just not yet avail up here or what! (But I'll be eating some on Friday!) I love my mom...
