There is going to be a fan camp-out for Episode III tickets at the Uptown Theatre in Washington, DC. The Uptown is located at 3426 Connecticut Ave, NW, Washington, DC.

The line will form on Friday, May 6th. The start time is to be announced.

We have started a Yahoo Group for people interested in participating in the camp-out:

Thank you for the information. While I personally think that DC is too far to travel for EP 3 (not to mention the work thing), perhaps someone else in the group will find the information useful.

Hey everybody!  Is everyone ready?!  I know I am.  Let
me update you all on the things that I know and if
there are any questions, please ask.

Henry, the new manager of the Uptown seems to be
working with us quite well so far.  There are
barricades already there and he wants everything to go
smoothly.  He did say that there will be a web cam set
on top of the marquise; however, I do not have the web
    address as of yet.

As you've seen, Lori's press release has gone out.
Henry has already given our name to some press people.
Al Fineberg no longer works for Fox and they don't
    have a full-time feature reporter, so I don't believe
any press will be camping-out this time.

We will be working with two charities (the charity we
worked with last time does not exist any longer).  We
are having a canned food drive for the Capital Area
Food Bank.  Please bring canned goods for the needy.
We did not do well with this last time, so please,
let's all give.  Remember, there are people out there
who live on the streets everyday.  We will also be
raising money for the Children's Hospital Foundation.
Star Wars is all about being a kid; let's help those
who need it.  If you are interviewed by the press in
line, please make sure to mention these charities.  I
    will have brochures for people.

Vance - What about that help from Target?
Victor - You were talking about raffling off some
    stuff?
Lori - Are we going to do a cell phone drive?

I will have a first aid kit with me.  We will not be
held responsible for anyone.  The two most important
things is to keep the noise level down, especially at
night.  Remember, the Uptown is a residential area and
we don't want to leave the residents with bad feelings
about us.  Also, please make sure that the trash is
picked up.  This is the place we like to go and we
want to keep it that way.

I spoke with a police officer that we had been in
touch with before and he is going to see of any
services he might be able to provide.

Victor attended the April meeting of the Cleveland
Park Citizens Association and they had no problems
with us being there; let's keep it that way.

I spoke with the manager of the Super Cuts on that
block.  Her name is Sophie.  She said that she
couldn't really offer any discounts, but she could
work with people on it.  She also asked that we make
sure the entrance to her store is clear for her
    customers to enter.

Victor - What is the update on the video store and the
    use of Starbuck's bathrooms?

Please make sure that if you use these forums, you
issue spoiler warnings at the top of any e-mail for
those of us trying to stay spoiler free.

Lori - What is the update on a t-shirt design?  I
would like to use a white or light colored shirt to
    enable people to sign shirts.

If anyone knows of a place people can go to shower,
    please communicate that to us.

Well, I guess that's it.  I will see everyone Friday
night and let's make this wonderful for everyone!
    Take care.
