I mentioned this at the meeting, but just a reminder to keep your calendars clear for Halloween night from about 9 pm to 1 am to celebrate the release the final film in the Star Wars saga, "Revenge of The Sith" to DVD, as well as the much-anticipated game, "Star Wars Battlefront II". I know it's a ways off, but it'll sneak up pretty fast. Details are sketchy now. Please check back in the next couple of weeks for more details. Here are pics from last year's event for the OT release:

matt do u see any reason why u would need help from members before 630 pm? just trying to plan ahead in case i need time off on haloween too.

can't wait! i wonder if i have enough time to put together a mara jade costume?

Wow, I wonder if there is a way they can really turn this into a Star Wars Halloween party atmosphere? Ha ha, and people won't be able to yell at me in the streets saying 'It's not Halloween' like they did at the IMAX premeier a few years ago.

I shouldn't have a problem getting the time off...its Josie that needs to worry about it. So, keep your fingers crossed and you will have your Kenobi, Padawan! :)

In terms of help, last year's event didn't need help until about 6 pm. I would need a handful (or less) people to help before 6 pm. People didn't start arriving until after 8:30 pm anyway.

Now we all have plans for Halloween. Last year's event was a big hit. At least nobody will ask us why we are dressed up.

Yay! I finally get to do something fun for Halloween, and I'll have a costume that isn't made up of my regualr clothes (yes, for the last few years, I've either not dressed up at all or I've "dressed up" as a nerd) And this time I'll have the belly.

I'd LOVE to make it... but I'ma gonna have to wait and see how I feel... that'll be T minus one month and counting for me. Maybe as long as we all know where the closest hospital is hahahaha.

    Sounds like a great time!!!

You never know Adyn, some people have easy pregnancies and are up and about until the day they go into labor. But it's understandable that some people experience discomfort and are even confined to bed rest in the last month.

If you are up and about keep the nearest hospital on speed dial! LOL!

Robert, you could always ask your SFPD nephew for a full Police escort. And I suggest you bring along Master_Kenobi Kim dressed in full costume anyway to help witness the birth! [face_mischief]

Wooo! Well, if I am feelin good and on my feet, I'll most definatley have to make it. I LOVE halloween and noone else I know around here does, so it sadly ends up being a non-even *dramatic sigh*

Hmmm, though I'd better see about making a pregnant padme costume in that case!!

    [face_laugh] [face_laugh] [face_laugh]

    I love it!!!

And no twins, just a lil jedi boy... and not ummm concieved by midichlorians [face_laugh]

Unfortunately I already commited to another party with AJ and those guys. Battle Front 2 I'll ask Eric about at some point and I'll pick up Ep.3 at Costco or something... That night the Alpha Bar on Geary and 3rd is gonna recreate Jabba's Palace. I'm leaning toward getting wild Halloween night rather than being stuck in a Virgin Megastore again. Maybe I'll drop by though if I can.

Jabba's Palace, for real? Is it a private party or open to the public? Heck, Geary and 3rd is not far from Virgin Megastore. I'll totally stop by both! We have all night, right?

That would be Geary and 3rd Avenue -- not far from the Coronet. We are near 4th Street. It's on the other side of town.

Oh Yeah, I always forget that 3rd street becomes Kearny just before it hits Geary. (When I saw 3rd I thought 3rd Street)

It still could be fun to check out both.
