Trisha Biggar gave us some great info about the direction she's taking Episode III:

? The challenges with Padmé's costume designs were to create outfits that allowed her to be a senator and still hide the fact that she is pregnant.

? The alien race played by Bruce Spence are tall and thin. The costumes are designed to exaggerate those traits.

? Mon Mothma's costume will have some similarities to her ROTJ outfit and she will be recognizable.

? The Mon Calamari character's costume is completely different than the one seen ROTJ and Trisha says "It looks great".

? Chewbacca will not be wearing clothes, not that he ever did.

? Trisha has worked on the Vader costume.

? After principal photography has finished, all the costumes will be saved for potential use during pick-ups next year.

? The Darth Vader scenes will be filmed next week.
? The EU Character will not be the only EU thing (ship/place, etc) that we will see in Ep3.

? Pablo believes there will be components of the film that are leaps of faith similar to the Yoda fight and pod race. And part of the challenge is the massive scale involved with bigger and more complicated shots.

? The duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan is not a gentleman's duel. It will get nasty (when asked about kicks and moves similar to Darth Maul).

? The character who speaks the classic line, "I have a bad feeling about this" is one that has not spoken the line before.

? We will see at least two sunsets in the film.

So you heard that Anakin loses a leg? Between that and his arm and you've got a wicked mixture of man and machine. That, and that whole burned to a crisp deal. Literally.

Well, I've got something else to add. His leg is gone from about the knee down or so, not at the thigh like some have speculated. AND he loses something else as well. All of his hair is gone - singed in the fire. And he gets that massive head wound in Episode III - the one you see briefly on Vader unmasked in Return of the Jedi.

Actually, I think he would officially be deep fried Jedi at that point.

It is only after enduring the trial by fire, that he can be truly considered worthy of Sith status...

The EU character is not Durge or Asaaj Ventress.

The connection the Bruce Spence alien has with a former Boris Karloff character probably is not the one people think of first. "The Mummy" is the character people should be looking at.

As has been hinted, the film starts out with things that have already happened (that the audience needs to be told in the opening scroll.) Supreme Chancellor Palpatine has been captured by the Separatists.

There are animatics for a scene in which there are clonetroopers on speeder bikes, but the scene may not be in the final film.

The opening space battle in terms of scale and scope is bigger than anything we've seen.

There's an entire environment that will be bigger than anything seen in any Star Wars film that will be primarily digital.

Yoda will feature in a "spectacular action sequence".

The animatics for the Episode 3 space battle were more challenging because it's a journey rather than a single event.

The Wookiees in action is "something to see".

The dueling between Anakin & Obi-Wan was some of the fastest ever seen. Two scenes from the duel were shot tuesday.

-Lets clarify a little about the "new bad guy" that is talked about in almost every chat. He is not a sith or a jedi traitor. He does wield at LEAST 2 lightsabers at the same time in combat. He has never been seen before (but keep your eyes peeled to the Cartoon Network). He is going to be cool as all heck, BUT he won't steal any thunder from when you see mechanical Darth Vader for the first time.

-Sounds like they recently filmed Obi-Wan taking on the new bad guys' henchmen. Don't be surprised if you hear about Obi-Wan filming his scene aboard a digital creature soon.

-There is currently no Boba Fett in the film at all. (Doesn't mean he won't be in it)

Some news of the bad guys we'll see in Episode 3.

    - They wear cloaks. (duh!)

-Their weapons are effective against the Jedi. (double duh!)

(Hey! I'm just the messenger here...) :p

A few months ago in June, the official site announced that Rohan Nichol would be playing a young captain.

In friday's Hyperspace Chat, Pablo Hidalgo confirmed that Rohan has nothing to do with Han Solo, nor will we see a young Han Solo in Episode 3, as most fans thought on account of his resemblance to Harrison Ford.

He also said that Rohan's character was nearly a continuity issue, but it resolved itself.

Some more highlights of Pablo's chat:

    * Two more cast members are likely to be announced very soon, one of which is young and new to Star Wars.

    * Not all of Darth Vader's scenes have been shot.

    * We won't see Geonosis or Dantooine in Episode III.

    * Hayden's last day on set is September 17th.

    * Scenes involving the twins have been shot.

Evil has never been more prominent than it has in the past few weeks, with Darth Sidious, Darth Vader, Nute Gunray, Wat Tambor, Boba Fett and a number of other galactic villains shooting scenes in the eleventh hour of film production on episode III.

This episode is said to be the darkest and that's been backed up very heavily this week, with more of the cataclysmic duel between Obi-wan and Anakin being filmed, as well as a separatist meeting and some cloaked baddies chasing our heroes to name but a few of the sinister scenes being shot.

Next week will wrap production on Wednesday, and the complicated process of post production begins.

Principal photography should wrap by noon Sydney time tomorrow. That's somewhere about the midnight tonight here.

The gal affectionately know by HS webcam watchers as "Script Girl" (Rick McCallum's daughter) has officially filmed her cameo as the "Cutest Jedi I've Ever Seen!"

I'd love to post a pic for you, but I don't wanna get sued.

The universe needs more cutie pie Jedi! :D

Edit: If you go to starwars.com RIGHT NOW. You might be able to catch a glimpse of her on the home page. It won't be there long though!
