I bought one from the Orleans the other night to watch(later again) that evening but have yet to actually buy a Midnight Premiere ticket either at Neonopolis or the Orleans. I'm still sticking with my "groupie" status with 501st/RL folks and hang with them. I do hope many, if not all of them, can make it in time from their "other" gig.

Well, this topic is about "tickets"...so I talked about getting my ticket. Maybe not for the Midnight Premiere, but I do have my ticket...for a later showing.

As for "lining up", I want to go where many people in costume are going. And it seems that Neonopolis is the place to be for that. I'm sure there'll be some fans in costumes at the other movie-houses, but do we all know where the majority of them will be? Bleyd already mentions where our 501st and RL people will be at. Downtown.

I still want to go in costume but am still in the process of making one.

Can someone please clarify this situation:

My Fandango Orleans ticket shows the movie starting at 12:01am Wednesday May 18, 2005.

Well,I went to the Orleans to exchange my Fandango tickets for the 12:10am (DLP) showing on May 18, 2005. (FYI-the 12:01am showing will NOT be in the DLP theater).

The box office staff informed that the first showing is 12:01am May 19, 2005, which is contrary to what Fandango is advertising--namely that the movie opens on May 18, 2005.

So, are the first showings Wednesday morning (May 18, 2005) or Thursday morning (May 19, 2005)?

    TIA.

    Thanks DKT.

I'll see you there. I'll be the guy in the jedi costume. : )

What time are you planning on lining up? (I am trying to gauge how early I need to show up to get reasonably decent seats).

The Orleans apparently has one DLP theater. Fandango is now showing the 12:10am showing as being in the DLP theater, while the 12:01am showing will be shown in a standard film theater. The Orleans staff confirmed that this is accurate information.

BTW-If you want to have original ticket stubs as a memento, the Orleans box office staff had no problem converting my printed Fandango tickets into real tickets.

Also, if you want to buy your tix off Fandango, here's a discount code to waive the service fee: DISCOUNT1

Of course, you can simply skip Fandango altogether and buy your tix directly from the Orleans box office.

    Hey, meik:

Were you able to exchange yours for the 12:10 show? Because I logged on to Fandango this morning just to check it out, and noticed that my showing wasn't in digital (I'm quite angry.) And I wanted to exchange mine too.

The Orleans gave me no problem in exchanging my tickets for the DLP showing at 12:10am.

Shows are starting to sell out at the orleans.

We have a big group that wants to come hang out with us so i'm going to stick to the regular veiwing and probably watch it on digital the following day.

i wanted to get in line really early like 4-5ish, how about you all?

My group of 8 have switched gears from GV to 1210 DLP at Orleans. We'll see you there. Were getting there early to gamble and hang out.

I still believe Green Valley is where the real party is at though. Those tickets sold out like crazzy

I hope to see a good crowed for the DLP showing. I go for the 1210 showing for the atomosphere of the show, not the lines. I love everyone cheering when Star Wars pops up. And everyone booing when Leonardo movie previews play before the show. Or laugh at Chai Yun Fat movie previews are played. lol.

    DKT,

4-5pm seems really, really, really early to stand in line.

I am thinking at the earliest 2-3 hours before the movie. I will maybe eat dinner at the Orleans then stand in line.

I have never attended a midnight fan-filled premiere before. I wonder if the Orleans will be somewhat organized?

2-3 hours before it starts will put you at the back of the line. Typically huge movie events do not have a lot of organization other than 'start lining up here.' I have not been to an opening at the Orleans, but other theatres usually have an area roped up. Sam's Town was the worst because they packed us in like sardines and told us we couldn't leave the roped area or we wouldn't be allowed in the theater. I'll never go back there again.

I saw AOTC at the Orleans as well that first night but had no problems with lines. I did go in about 30 minutes earlier. Room I was in expectedly got filled as time drew near though!

As for costumes, Bleyd already mentions the casinos not really welcoming costumed fans with helmets on but don't think they ever went to Orleans though. I may ask think about asking security and folks there beforehand. But since i got my tickets for Neon, I don't think I'll go in costume at Orleans for a later showing(Fri, Sat etc) unless more people decide to do it. If the staff are okay about it and encourage it to help promote the movie then....
