AMC sold all their tickets to scalper friends of the employees so they could ebay them.

As for swinging to get the entire 300 seat digital theater.. If he says no, I'm still available to be down there by 10 am on Wednesday morning to get 10 more tickets. I actually could even go Monday morning, if they get released a couple days earlier. I've got until about noon free on Mondays, most of the time.

 

Thanks Jessica, I might take you up on that. It has been less than a day since I sent out the email with info on how people can paypal me for tickets, and 10 people have paid for tickets already.

Hey, I wanted to watch it at midnight on the digital screen as well...are you guys buying out the entire theatre...cause I was going to go on Wednesday morning around 10 to just get a few, like 5-6 for me and a few of my close friends.

 

We "might" be buying out the entire theatre. At this point we only have 100 reserved. The theatre only holds 299.

 

Linda - I will pay you at the meeting for 1 ticket too!

 

I absolutely can't make the meeting tomorrow. (Persuing a degree in Chemistry takes over your *entire* life...) So just keep me posted on ticket-type stuff.

And on a side note.. In regards to how evil my degree is.. My very last final of my Undergraduate career is, luckily, May 17th. I would have *died* if my finals straight through that week and messed up Star Wars.

 

May 17th is a sinister date in my life as well... I'll be taking a personal day with my family that day, might come and spend time in the line depending on how I'm feeling, but it's the 10 year anniversary. I'll have to see how it goes.

 

/\ I totally understand Brendan if you can't be at the line on the 17th.

 

Emperors hand.. I must give bad tidings.. Me and my Apprentice won't be able to make it to the opening night.. Due to the fact he has to be up before 7am to get to school. Oh well. Maybe another time.

You send your kid to school on Star Wars day? That sounds like a Jedi thing to do. Family tradition... my mom let me stay home from school so I could line up for ESB and ROTJ, so my kids have always had two days off during the Special Editions and TPM, and AOTC (Day before, and opening day off).

 

Who says you can't stay up all night and be a zombie at school? It's worth it, and think of the memories he'll have for the rest of his life and be able to tell all his friends at school how cool he is for seeing ROTS midnight premier. Then he can laugh and remember the story of how he was a zombie for the rest of the day. This is a once in a life time event, it will never happen again.

And they also have tickets on sale for opening day now.

Same here, just got mine from Fandango. I just need to find a cheap ride home when the movie gets out as I will be going to work as a zombie. But hey, I will probably consider it Con endurance training.

Does anyone know which 12:01am showing will be the digital screening or do you think it will just be luck of the draw type of thing?
