I've always thought he and the gungans will go out for one final stand against the Empire, allowing Padme and the twins to escape from Naboo. Jar-Jar will die protecting Padme- which will make his death very heroic.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but GL has already stated that Jar-Jar will not die(on screen that is).I know,I bummed out about it to.My guess is he goes to Alderaan with Padme and Leia and dies when it gets blown up in ANH.

Seeing Obi-Wan escort Padme and Leia to Alderann after his duel with Anakin would be great! Then he takes Luke with him to Tatooine and delivers him to the Lars homestead. Plus, how could Padme die in EpIII, who else tells Leia about Obi-Wan?

    Umm..Bail Organa knows about Obi-Wan ;)

As much as I would love to see Padme bite the big one (get your minds out of the gutter),I have the feeling she wont die on screen.

Personally, I'd like to see a massive improvement in the dialogue and the acting.

I have a feeling OBi + Luke are going to escort Yoda to Dagobah before hitting Tatooine. This would explain 2 things:
1 - Luke's line in ESB "Something familiar about this place."
2 - Ben knowing where Yoda is so he can tell Luke in ESB.

I'm curious about how much time they give to the transformation of Anakin into Vader. Will they just show Anakin after his defeat at the hands of Obi-Wan being dragged of by some clone(storm)troopers, throw in a few sound effects, and presto... Vader appears? Or will they actually show droids in an Imperial lab assembling the Vader suit onto Anakin's body?

    Umm..Bail Organa knows about Obi-Wan

Yes, Bail does know about Obi-Wan, but the only way he would know if Obi-Wan survived the Jedi purge is if he is with Padme when Obi-Wan takes her to Alderaan, or if he welcomes Padme and Obi-Wan when they arrive. My guess is that only Padme knows where Obi-Wan goes and she tells Leia where to find him later on in life.

Leia barely remembers Padme, images really. Bail is the one that sends her to find General Kenobi who fought with her father in the Clone Wars.

I guess you're right Dex. Question, what is it about Padme that anyone would hope she dies in EpIII? I just don't get it.

That would be the "tragic" part of the tragedy. No one wants to see her die.
I'm hoping (for the sake of the story) as bad as it sounds, that Anakin will somehow feel betrayed by her and kill her himself.
But they'd never show that on screen ;)

I see your point Dex but with the fall of the Republic and the elimination of the Jedi, isn't that enough tragedy?

What about a "under construction" view of the Death Star? The design plans were complete and displayed in AOTC, maybe they will show it during it's initial manufacturing stages at the end of EpIII?

To answer your question Jedi_Outcast, I think that for Ani's sake, it would be the death of his beloved wife Padame that would bethe final nail in the coffin to send him to the darkside.

I doubt that they would have Anakin kill Padme , it would make him unredeemable. I know that the feeling I felt watching Jedi the first time(when Vader tosses the Emporer)would be lessened by the fact that he knowingly killed his wife.

I believe Padme will die, but not at the hands of Anakin. Remember that the two most important people in his life are Shmi Skywalker and Padme. His mother died at the hands of Tuskens and Anakin went ballistic on them because he feels he should have been able to prevent it. I feel the same thing will happen to Padme. She will die in front of Anakin and Anakin will be powerless to stop it. He will then blame Obi-Wan for not stopping this or holding him back so that when Anakin finally goes to rescue Padme, he is too late and the famous duel begins.
Also, it will be difficult to have a lightsaber battle with two blue blades, so I believe Anakin constructs a Sith lightsaber secretly and first uses it at the duel with Obi-Wan. the crystals will be given to him by Palpatine, who instructs him to build a Sith lightsaber and to hide this from the Jedi Council.

Then how do you explain Obi-Wan getting Anakin's old Jedi lightsaber? I suppose if Anakin tosses Obi-Wan his Jedi saber and says "Here, I won't be needing this anymore.", then pulls out his newly constructed Sith saber and challenges Obi-Wan to a duel, then maybe. But it sounds too cocky, even for Anakin.

I've always had a vision of how Obi-Wan gets Ani's lightsaber. They're dueling, Ani falls into the pit and the lightsaber is left above the rim of the volcano. Obi-Wan sinks to his knees and picks it up bawling that he failed and couldn't save/turn Ani back to the light.

Maybe Ani will outright slaughter Dooku in front of Obi-Wan and then when Obi-Wan tries to talk him down, Ani picks up Dooku's lightsaber and begins dueling w/ Obi-Wan.

    Grrrrrr! Too many possibilities.

However it happens, I'll be bawling :(

BTW **warning Ep 3 piccies** Click here if you would like a sneak peek of HC as EP 3 Anakin.

Damn that boy's eyes speak and say whatever words are unable to convey.

That sounds pretty good. Anakin gets his revenge for Dooku taking off his arm and clears the path to become Sidious' apprentice at the same time.

Maybe Anakin abandons his old lightsaber or gives it to Obi-Wan in his last display of defiance. He then attempts to rescue Padme with his new, Sith lightsaber.
There can be lots of speculation to this because of the uncertainty of the events that will occur earlier in Ep. III.

I really want to know who the EU character is going to be. I've heard that it is not going to be Durge or Asajj Ventress and I don't think that Mara Jade has even been born yet. The other possibility is Jorus C'baoth. In his entry in the SW Databanks, it says, "and was also a personal advisor to Senator Palpatine on Jedi-related matters".

Who would you like to see in a Lightsaber duel in Ep III? Sidious has got to pick up a lightsaber this time around.

It would be cool to see Mace Windu and Ki-Adi-Mundi go into Palpatine's office to confront him after an attack on the Jedi Temple by Clone Troopers. Palpatine then reveals his true identity as Darth Sidious and disposes of the two Jedi Masters in fury of clashing lightsabers.

A though about the Obi/Anakin duel:

There's been a lot of rumor and speculation about the final duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin in EpIII. One of the constants is that Anakin ends up in a lava pit. I'm curious to hear what everyone else thinks happens as to how he got there.

    a) Does he fall into the pit? His rage consumes him to the point that as he stands over a beaten Obi-Wan preparing to deliver the final blow he doesn't see the ledge that he's standing on collapsing beneath him and falls.

    b) Does Obi-Wan push him into the pit? Seeing it as the only way to prevent Anakin from becoming a Sith and taking Sidious' side. Or even as a way to save a seriously injured Padme from an enraged Anakin as he tried to kill her.

I know, it's like the "Who Shot First - Han or Greedo" thing all over again. Just trying to stir up some thoughts, that's all.

God a thought just occured to me while shoveling today. I can bet that GL put in how Obi-Wan offed Maul in TPM for a reason.

He's gonna slice Anakin in half- whether on purpose or accident- I bet that will happen.

Which will make it when old Ben puts up his lightsaber and allows Vader to cut him down in ANH all the more poignant and horrifically sad to watch.

I dont think he'll fall completely into a pit of lava.Noone could survive that, even in the GFFA. He most likely land on some ledge.his legs in the lava with splashes (if lava splashes) of lava here and there on his upper body and head.

But I'll bet Obi-Wan give him a beaten prior to the fall ;)
