I wonder if there will be any unreleased music in the delete sequences in the Attack of the Clones dvd. Granted, it?ll probably be tracked-on cues from the existing film, but here?s hoping.

I'm guessing it'll be the same as it was for TPM: tracked on cues from other parts of the movie.

Most likely that will be the case. Still, one never knows. If the scenes were cut late, they may have been scored prior to being cut. It's unlikely, though.

With the DVD coming out next month, now is the time for everyone, and especially those who have not yet signed, to again voice their support for the release of the complete original score to Episode II as John Williams originally intended. There is a resource page and petition link where you can sign the petition. The more people who voice their concern, the better. We've had a good response, but we can't rest on our laurels. Share it with everyone you know who are Star Wars, John Williams, or film music fans. Thanks!

    Hmmm:

"The other is a short dialogue between Anakin and Padme in the Lars garage following Anakin?s return from the Tusken slaughter. The material in this addition is okay, but my problem with its incorporation is the altered music track. The way the scene played originally was perfect. The Emperor?s theme played while Anakin told her what happened. Then, as Anakin breaks down in tears and Padme soothes him, the music mellows out. In the new version, the moment had to be extended for a few seconds longer, so the music had to be extended, too. This new edited part of the sequence is jarring and out of place as far as I?m concerned. We cut back to the Emperor?s theme again, and then cut back to the soothing music. This is just a bad choice."

Who know...it may sound really good. All we have to go on is one reviewer's opinion.

It doesn't. It sounds jarring. And it's odd, because you're hearing the Emperor's theme as she's trying to comfort him. The Love Theme would have been more appropriate, or even some of the mysterious music from near the beginning after the explosion would have worked better.

See, you can't cut and paste and edit music like you can the actual movie. But is bad music better than no music?

GL had better get Johnny to RESCORE in 2007. Once the SW films are DONE. DONE. DONE.

"...it's odd, because you're hearing the Emperor's theme as she's trying to comfort him."

No kidding, I?m sure Padme?s 3 second line would have worked just fine without the botched cue.

February: John Williams scores the nearly finished film

March-April: Lucas has a change of heart in regards to how the arena scenes are sequenced and drastically changes this part of the film from the cut that JW scored.

April: Lucas realizes that the music doesn't fit because the film has changed.

John Williams is busy so they did the best they could (which, I thought was great).

I agree about the Confession scene. It was perfect score-wise but now it sounds sort of off.
You can hear it at charlesmartel.reallyrules.com
Note: It's perfectly legit, not from a bootleg.

    From Jwfan.net:

This list uses John Takis' cue titles, which can be found here.

    1. Padmé Addresses The Senate
Tracked from 'The Councils Confer' and the later senate scene ('New Authority').

    2. Jedi Analysis Temple Room
'Arrival At Kamino' (original version, on the OST)

    3. Obi-Wan & Mace Landing Platform
'Anakin & Palpatine' followed by the fanfare that ends reel 2 (end of 'Royal Counsel')

    4. Extended Arrival on Naboo
'Padmé's Island Retreat', including the unused opening of the cue that was replaced with material from 'Arrival At Kamino'.

    5. Padmé's Parents House
'The Meadow Picnic' and a small part of 'Arrival At Kamino' (again!)

    6. Padmé's Bedroom
    Unscored

    7. Dooku Interrogates Padmé
The second half of 'Arrival At Naboo' from 'The Phantom Menace'

    8. Anakin & Padmé on Trial
Not entirely sure about this one. Some of the material is from 'New Authority'.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....well I think the music fits each scene fine, but had they been in the final film they would've required their own compositions, as those musical cues are perfect for the scenes they fit in the proper film, and using them again here would ruin them.
