    What's interesting is Darth Talgus's guess, post #468 in the Episode VIII Title Speculation Thread, currently has just one like (BenYodaDagobah), while Queen Gimmedala's guess, post #468 in the Episode VII Title Speculation Thread has 78 likes. Between mysterious Queen Gimmedala's guess date and join date (December 18, 2012) and the official title announcment on November 6, 2014, no one liked Queen Gimmedala's guess (aside from Queen Gimmedala deciding to submit it, and possibly J.J.).

    Between October 1, 2015 and January 23, 2017 (official announcement date), only Darth Talgus, Rian Johnson, and possibly BenYodaDagobah thought The Last Jedi was a good title. Without having Talgus's post having several more likes, I can't see when BYD liked DT's post.
    More people started liking the title when it was officially announced, yet Darth Talgus's post still is only liked by BenYodaDagobah. That number will likely change.

    As for post likes vs official title popularity goes...... it seems fans prefer the names more after they have been announced by the filmmaker or studio. Quite a few suggestions by posters here have garnered more likes than the correct guesses received before the official announcements boosted their like count (I'm mostly looking at TFA's guess..... Talgus's alert box is bound to get more traffic for his guess.
